Lovely restaurant, I think it’s family owned. Lovely people and they make amazing food. Service is always quick and prices are decent. Trafalgar in Consett serves up rich, aromatic curries and freshly baked naan both plain and garlic ones. Generous portions, friendly service, it’s always quite quiet in the restaurant apart from Thursdays and Sundays where they have a deal on the curries. A must-visit for hearty, satisfying Indian cuisine in town!

Trafalgar is the BEST Indian takeaway, nice to sit in and dine too. Food always tastes incredible, comes piping hot and early. Prices are great for the quality. When I’ve dined in, staff have been welcoming and accommodating, and whenever I order a takeaway the guys are so friendly and polite. Probably overall the best takeaway in Consett in my opinion, given that, to me, Trafalgar is 5 stars across the board.

Very good quality, with reasonable meat/veg content. Good portion for the price. Delivery a little delayed but was still warm and fresh. Crisp poppadoms. Loved the chips (be prepared for the rustic shape) Very pleased and very full

Grabbed a takeaway while holidaying in the area. Food was good, tasty and not too much oil. Seems a strange complaint but the portions were way over the top! We had the set meal for two but it would easily feed a family of 4! A shame as we ended up throwing half of it away ♂️

I absolutely love this place!! I never go anywhere else as I’m very fussy about food and meet it’s trafalgar all the way for me, food is always cooked so beautifully and tastes amazing! Although I do think the madras is abit too spicy to enjoy during the week but the weekend chef does it perfectly … I get it that often I have noticed the difference

We always go here for takeaways and it’s great!! Food is always delicious, reasonably priced and always delivered quickly. They throw in free poppadoms too which is great as many places don’t. I would 100% recommend! Well done Trafalgar!!
