The atmosphere at Traditions is that of a favorite neighborhood restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I have tried a different dish every visit and have not been disappointed. The photo is scallops and shrimp with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach over angel hair pasta with a pesto and romano cheese cream sauce. If you are looking for a great meal in a friendly atmosphere Traditions is the place to go.

We got there at 5.10 and we nabbed the last free table. The whole time we were there more people kept coming in and joining the wait list. And following the delicious meal we had you can see why it’s so popular. Our appetizers were excellent as were the main course. My pasta with sausage and peppers was delicious. The Bonus of having proper Italian beer Peroni on the menu. The service was excellent and the food was well priced. Would recommend

Very good food! Atmosphere is a little out dated but still a great place to go. Love the bread they give you with dinner.

Found this gem tonight. The hostess was a doll, the bartender was so on top of things, the ambiance was old world sweet and quaint. The food…outstanding! The Rosa ravioli appetizer was to die for. Highly recommended. There’s a little bit of a wait due to the fact it’s so good…don’t leave wait for the table you won’t be disappointed

Traditions is a wonderful establishment! Wonderful service and incredible food. They were also very accommodating to my daughter that needed some attention while there. As out of towners we were very impressed and loved this place. Check it out!

The food is perfect portion . No leftovers . Traditional Italian . The bartenders are pleasant and talented if you are not able to get a table the bar is a more pleasant atmosphere to dine than the cramped booths and old carpeting . I don’t usually do a bad review but this one is the 2nd time we were denied for service at this restaurant . We were with another couple waiting on a waiting list while we heard the hostess state a few to many times to different customers there is a wait but she seated them quickly. After we were being crammed into the corner bar / window , we reminded her the 4 people standing behind her podium (we) are still here on the wait list after she had relayed to a few different inquiring friends and seated them over us . She kept coughing on us as though she wanted us to leave . After we confronted her of this action she seated us and threw the menus at us stating “ here you are “. We attempted to get a seating this evening and called ahead to confirm there is a possibility to be seated , the hostess stated there is a possibility for a seating , after a 30 minute drive we barely entered the door at 8:00 pm and we was told the kitchen is down . Very rude no greeting or apology . I’m not sure it was the same hostess as it was abrupt announcement from a older woman . Fair price , good food but not a pleasant atmosphere .

Awesome place, cozy, very inexpensive. Great Italian food dishes and a good drink selection. The fresh bread at the start of the meal was awesome. I had the lasagna with meatballs and had no complaints. My wife got a special and she said it was awesome. The service was great as well. I’ll be adding this to a list of stops while I’m in Maine, that’s for sure!

One of our favorite places. Waitress, drinks and food were excellent. Best small sweet fried clam appetizer, swordfish/shrimp special and lasagna with meat sauce.

First time here, and we loved it. Diane, the hostess, was very helpful. We were served by the bartender because we sat in the lounge area, and she did a great job. I had veal marsala, and my wife had chicken picatta (different names on the menu). Both were as good or better than any I have had in the North End in Boston. We recently moved to the area and this will be our go to restaurant for Italian food!!

Had a short wait. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food was good, but wish they had a kids menu. My daughter wanted pizza but we made it work- got her garlic bread with cheese and marinara for dipping. They surprised her with a few cherries to make her feel special. My only gripe was that the booth was very tight. Other than that we loved it.
