Look for the coffee flag for the turn off just past the quarry. There are a few parking spots right up front and more beyond. Order at the bar and then wait for your drink to be called out. I tried a cortado with macadamia nut milk and an ube muffin. They have several vegan options and milk alternatives. It was fun to see how many regulars came in and see the baristas greet them by name. They are laptop friendly, host events and have swag and beans available for purchase.

My wife and I did the “Tour and Tasting” and it was an unforgettable experience. In my opinion, a great coffee shop/roastery is one that sells an experience, not just coffee, and Tradition does just that. Atmosphere – driving up to the industrial park, shop doors opened up, a gym across the street, mountain views in the back drop, can’t ask for a better vibe. The entire roastery has an open concept with a welcoming and homey feel. Quality – their coffee is extremely high quality and full of flavor. They roast each bean with a science and Sarah explained it all! During the tour, Sarah also taught us all about how coffee is farmed/grown and how it is picked, washed, dried (and roasted, of course). We did this while sipping the best cappuccino ever (highly recommend). Service – this is where Tradition THRIVES. I believe one of the owner’s names is Lindsey and she greeted us right away. She explained how the tour would work and was so welcoming. I felt like I was at my aunties house. Sarah, our tour guide, was professional, extremely knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about quality coffee. She sat us down with three different types of black coffee and a flavor wheel sheet. We leisurely sipped and chatted for 20+ min or so. We shared with each other the flavors we tasted and talked about random stuff. We felt like we had known Sarah for years and were good friends. And THIS, I believe, is the mission that Tradition Coffee Roasters has set out to accomplish – bring people together. This is the kind of company I would want to work for, and the kind of business that makes our island a better island. Mahalo nui loa, Tradition, for having such a profound impact on our Ohana. Please don’t stop.

Absolutely the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. To start with the service there is amazing. Super welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed. Finally the coffee there is the best ever. You can tell the owner is passionate about the coffee they sell as well as making it a truly enjoyable experience while you’re there. I already can’t wait to go back.

A barista at a small cafe in Waikiki recommended we stop by Tradition Coffee Roasters after I gave rave reviews of the cortado made with their beans. I made my partner detour after our visit to the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens and this cafe and roastery in an industrial complex did not disappoint. The cortado and iced latte were great. Friendly baristas, eco-friendly drinkware, and a great selection of food and merchandise. This was a lovely stop over on our time on this side of Oahu.

I stumbled upon Tradition Coffee Roasters while vacationing in Kailua. The location threw me off a bit BUT the location is part of its charm. The team (I use this term specifically) is exactly what a team should be. They’re all friendly, full of smiles and you can tell they love working with one another. The coffee- simply put, I’ve never had better. I enjoyed it so much that my husband (non coffee drinker) and I decided to do the coffee education tour they offer. Wow! My husband tasted each coffee and the knowledge and clarity of education gave me a new appreciation to how special and unique each cup of coffee can be. Additional note- Every friend I’ve referred to them is in love with the coffee too! If you don’t try Tradition Coffee Roasters whether in person or buying online, you’re making a HUGE mistake.

Melbourne (Australia) coffee in Hawaii, super friendly service, will need a car as inland, worth the drive.
Espresso over ice, cortardo with oat milk and doppio (double espresso) all enjoyed in normal sized cups. Husband loved the nitro.

Really good coffee. We were doing a tour around the island. I got a cappuccino and coffee beans for Christmas gifts. Very friendly people in the area and staff was great. I think one thing got missed from my order so I will be going back to fix that up. But I mean things happen and the coffee was good. Parking in the area is a bit weird a lot of do no park here signs but not the businesses fault.

I had the pleasure of participating in their Latte Art Throwdown!
This café always hosts exciting events that you won’t want to miss.
Every staff member is charming and genuinely kind, and Sam and Sky’s latte art is truly a work of art.
You can also watch their coffee roasting in action and purchase freshly roasted beans to take home.
A must-visit spot for any coffee lover!
