A strange little place tucked into the antique shop right off Hwy 31. Their sandwiches are excellent, they have delicious salads, and their meals are usually complimented with bread from an amazing local bakery. Kind and attentive service, amazing coffee drinks, and great food. Definitely tops my list for the Peru/Bunker Hill/Grissom area. Servers were warm, but the kitchen wasn’t super fast. The food was well worth the wait and I will absolutely be frequenting this place.

One on the best salads I’ve ever had- no exaggeration! Every ingredient was fresh and flavorful: peaches, pickled onion, blueberries, shredded parm, and the best candied bacon! Plus homemade salad dressing and bread. Absolutely to die for. The key lime pie was delicious but the real star was the warm peach crumble which was devoured by the table before I could snap a pic.
This spot is tucked away inside an antique store so it took a little wandering to find our way- 100 percent worth it!

I had a terrific lunch Friday – candied bacon BLT, mac & cheese and coffee! Food was delicious and Lori and Macy took great care of me! The BLT bread from Conny’s Little German Breadshop was perfect too! Wish I lived closer!

Best staff I have ever had the pleasure of being welcomed by. Great attitudes, smiles, and timing. Wonderful curation of antiques in the booths (some reproductions). Mouth-watering menu. The food was delicious. The atmosphere hygge. Unique. Charming. Quaint. Hidden Gem. Highly recommend for a lite bite (plus a nice stretch strolling through the antique booths) if you’re passing through. (Do yourself a favor and go for dessert 😉

This is my new favorite place to go, vegetarian friendly, but also for people who love a heap of biscuits and gravy. I ordered the special, for $22.00, which featured a delicious squash soup, one of the best I’ve ever tasted, and a dark green, very fresh salad, comprised of quality greens in perfect condition-arugula, spinach, and several micros. The squash soup was blended and thick, very well spiced, and warmly delicious. Top it all off with a cranberry sherbet dessert, infused with orange blossom water for a complex blend of fresh tartness and spice.

The “1st Friday” meal and dining experience is surely one of the most high quality and classy dinners north of the Indianapolis area. An absolutely perfect 6 course meal with 3 pours of different wines ! A truly deluxe high quality and intimate event. Looking forward to next month!

My wife and I had a great experience here. Ordered the beef stroganoff and the feta appetizer, and I highly recommended both! We will be back for one of their monthly date nights

A hidden gem for foodies in Indiana. A synthesis of gourmet and home cooking. European, midwestern, and even historical cuisine and mixed drinks. As I go through my painful dissertation process, I set aside every Saturday morning for my mental health by enjoying the ambience, the drinks, and the kind of food one expects from an elite level dining experience. The menu changes frequently, allowing for a lot of adventure. Order at the counter, then sit, relax, and be with friends. This wonderful café is a slice of Heaven. The pace is slow, but that is because everything is freshly made – just what you would expect in a superior restaurant. Make time for this amazing experience!
