Disgusting food. Disorganized. Hostile environment between cashier and cook..possibly family. haha Very sad to witness. I wanted to help so badly. And I felt so bad for the cook as she is an elderly (patient) lady.
I believe they are doing their best. But there must some changes and quick! I wish I could take over the business as it’s struggling to keep afloat without good help. That’s my honest review.

I was off today, I was able to stop by before they closed. I got the lunch box specifical which is your choice of a sandwich, side, drink, and a cook for $12 on DD. I read that the chicken salad and potato salad was good, so that is what I purchased. It was pretty good. I was worried reading some of the reviews. The staff seemed friendly.

Did a DoorDash order, $16 for a sandwich I threw in the garbage! My order was a chicken salad sandwich on croissant, macaroni salad and cup of fruit. Half of this bag croissant was hard as a rock but figured I could it half and it would be enough, my first bite was sour tasting, like the chicken salad had vinegar in it, I decided wasn’t worth the chance the mayo was bad threw it away, Mac salad wasn’t any better and 2 bites of a small soufflé cup and it also went in the trash, now on to the fruit cup, small soufflé cup with 6 red grapes, 3 of the grapes were mush. I am disappointed but chalk it up to lesson learned and I will not return or suggest any one to visit here!

Not fancy or big, but good sandwiches and soup. The service by the sweet lady with strong Appalachian accent was refreshing! Very nice. They have been there 6 years, and I could tell they have good loyalty, she often already knew what patrons were going to order. Worth coming here.

Had Italian sub which was fine but side of macaroni salad was so salty that I would i have had to drink so far 16 Oz of water this only after 2 spoon of this mess. I call back to notified her of this and was told that this is the way they like it and she has been doing it for 12 yrs. So what it is too salty and it not like I don’ t use salt. She may wan’t to listen to her customers because I will tell everybody I know not to eat there because if it not right it the way she like it. But I don’t think she was eating this nor paying for this.

Barbara created some delicious deli trays of ham, turkey, her famous chicken salad, special breads, lettuce, tomato, homemade potato salad, macaroni salad and a large tray of her famous made-from-scratch chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and fed our large family for a celebration of life in honor of our dear Mother. Mom’s favorite lunch destination was Tradewinds Cafe, where we were always treated with special food, love and care. Thank you, Barbara- it enabled me to spend more time with guests during our multi-day event and everyone loved the food!

I wanted to like the food, but it was very underwhelming. I ordered the Chicken Philly sub, it lacked flavor in every bite. They used boiled SHREDDED chicken, if you ask me…a true crime for this particular sub. The cookies were old, the sweat tea was also old and not sweet enough, the grapes where too ripe and smushed. I was so upset I forgot to take pictures, but I will not be spending $30+ for bland food at this establishment ever again.

As soon as we walked in the environment was so warm and welcoming the staff was incredibly helpful and extremely passionate about their job. The food was AMAZING. The owner personally came over and spoke with my twin and I checking in often to see if we are okay and if we need anything. The food was so good I was completely full after… And I can EAT. I extremely recommend this place!!!
