Indoor and outdoor seating +diner bar seating, family owned, fun, friendly, free whole onions?!,BYOB, caveman ribs w/sauce on the side, pork ribs by the rack or individual, soul food…!
The bacon laden potato salad and the cole slaw were so good, I would have been happy just eating those – can’t wait to try the other sides!
It’s not too big, you literally go through the door: place your order, pay, and walk out with your order. It’s a pretty efficient and seamless option.
They have outside dining area. Parking lot is pretty big because it’s shared with other businesses.
We came here for lunch and I was sad we weren’t here earlier for breakfast. The menu sounded like a pretty good spread and they open at 6am. I’m not sure if that’s weekends only or everyday that they are open. If I lived closer, I’d definitely be here to try breakfast.
We ordered:
1. Pulled pork sliders: Amazing with the fries.
2. 2 way meat: brisket and tri tip were ok. A little over cooked for my liking. They ran out of mac n cheese and it was another 25 minutes for a fresh batch. I ended up going with potato salad which was pretty good.
3. Beef hot link: Ordered a side because I had to try it. To me it was pretty hot and spicy but flavorful.
4. Cali drip: I didn’t know until leaving a review that this was the same place we tried in Vallejo. It was still disappointing to me in my opinion but my standards are pretty high for a calamansi drink.
5. Sunset drink: I forgot the name but this is delicious. It had bits of mango with cranberry juice.
Overall, a good experience. I’ll for sure come back soon to try breakfast
This review is for the food truck..
We had the pleasure of trying their food in Downtown Vallejo. They were one of the vendors at the Battle in the Bay Car Show by Chelu Family CC.
The lady who took my order was super nice, but I do have to warn you that the prices are a little steep. $8 for 1 bbq skewer? I didn’t try this, but I did try:
1. Mexipino lumpia (birria lumpia?) – This was delicious and less messier to eat than a taco. It had the same great flavors. $15 for 4 pieces cut in half was steep, but it did hit the spot at the event.
2. Cali drip – I was excited to try this. I’m a big fan of calamansi. Sadly, this disappointed me. It was all sugar and less tart. It reminded me of the sugary kool-aid my aunties and uncle’s used to make. It’s like when you buy an alcoholic beverage and it has no alcohol.
I’d love to give this place another try and maybe try the bbq sticks.
WOW! I’m hooked.
This place will be a must every time I’m up here on business. Owner was great, sat out and chatted with us while they were preparing our food.
Between the two of us we had ribs, tri-tip, brisket and hotlinks – and NOTHING was left over! It was so good I would have went back over for another round had we not gotten so busy after lunch.
Great place, highly recommend!
Family owned and operated
Great menu.
The food is DELICIOUS, the prices are a bit high but totally worth the quality of the meat and service!
Sweet tea and strawberry lemonade was perfect to wash it down.
We got the chicken rice bowl, chicken garlic noodles and the best…. The Jimmy Wop… the pics show this grilled masterpiece
Came with a side of pickles, special sauce and seasoned fries….
Highly recommend!!
I stop here anytime I am coming home from Vallejo area. Worth the trek
Staff is friendly.. flavor on the brisket is divine.
I tired the smoke bombs today and they were amazing!!!
In my personal opinion, Hands down the best ribs in the bay area! The flavor is great!
The ribs are lean and tender!
The pork adobo is delicious! A must have! It gives me nostalgia. A true comfort dish!
My family and I eat here every week, we’ve almost had everything on the menu and I can tell you that everything we’ve had was and BUSSIN.
The tri tip, brisket, hot links, potato salad, adobo, Cali drip lemonade, SMASH BURGER AND FRIES ETC.., all are delicious.
They are a small family owned business so get there early to order before they sell out.
