Oh Damn It’s Sam
Food was amazing and fresh. Service was great and they were very kind. Family friendly, great place for a special occasion or large group. However, the hibachi meal prices seemed kind of pricey so me and one other asked to split one hibachi meal and we mentioned we were also going to get two or three sushi rolls and they unfortunately were unable to let us split it.

My favorite hibachi restairant! Have come here many times over the years to celebrate birthdays and even got engaged here! The habachi experience is great, but the food is also great if you just want to sit in the regular dining area, or get takeout/delivery! I literally buy their salad dressing by the pint to bring home, it’s delicious!

The biggest problem was the hibachi chef. The heavy-set chef wearing glasses had a terrible attitude from start to finish. No greeting, no interaction, no effort at all. Hibachi is supposed to be entertaining and engaging, but he looked annoyed the entire time, barely spoke, and clearly didn’t care about the customers.
When we asked simple questions, his responses were short, rude, and impatient. It felt uncomfortable sitting there, especially since hibachi dining is meant to be a fun, shared experience.
The cooking itself was nothing special either — rushed and careless. Combined with the chef’s bad attitude, the whole meal felt overpriced and disappointing.
If you’re coming here expecting a proper hibachi show and friendly service, you’ll likely be let down. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be coming back.

My husband and I talked about coming here after driving by a few times, and we are so glad we did. There aren’t a lot of places we can go with a two year old, but this was a nice family outing.
We arrived shortly after they opened, so it was just us, which was nice. Our son had a blast watching the hibachi chef. Everything we had was delicious. My husband had a mule, and I got the Asian Pear martini. To start, we had a really nice, light mushroom soup and a salad with a great dressing. We had the best crab rangoons we’ve had since moving to CT, and despite mangoes not being in season right now the Mango Lover roll was excellent. We shared filet mignon and chicken hibachi (let them know if you have a shrimp allergy because you get a piece complimentary) and our son had steak hibachi. Everything was excellent.
The restaurant itself is nice and cozy without being cramped. The staff is very friendly, polite, and the perfect level of attentive. I was shocked to learn it was only our server’s second day, as I thought he was a manager. We will definitely be back soon!

Ordered 6 pieces of salmon sushi, along with other appetizers and sushi rolls. My boyfriend and I both had two of the salmon sushi, leaving 4. They tasted off and had a hard texture. We kindly relayed this to the waiter (who did not check in on us at any point until we were finished) who then brought over a verbally aggressive woman who was over the top rude and dismissive. We explained how we are happy to pay for the rest of our food, but would like the remaining 4 removed from our bill as they were inedible. She raised her voice at us, accusing us of wasting food. We said we enjoyed the rest of the food, but the salmon sushi we did not like. I asked her what our options are, since she said she’s not removing the 4 pieces we didn’t eat. I explained I too worked in many restaurants, and if a guest requested that a particular dish was not up to par, we would offer to remake it or remove it from the bill. She continued to raise her voice and accuse us of wasting her food. I stated that her restaurant has good reviews, that’s why we came here and wanted to try it out, which we now regret. Being aggressive towards guests is unacceptable, we would have absolutely been willing to come back but she made us feel cornered and uncomfortable. I highly encourage everyone reading this to try the plethora of other sushi restaurants within a 25 min drive of this location.

Great night out getting spontaneous hibachi with a friend after my car broke down. One of the only decent places to get food in Colchester after 8pm but definitely worth it for the cost. Chef was very talented and the food was fresh and delicious.

Always amazing. Just moved out this way and so happy to have found them. Sushi and hibachi are fantastic. We always do takeout and never have any complaints.

Got take out from this place, have pretty regularly but after today never again.
Forgot my crab ragoons and my california roll, called and had to come back to get them replaced but while my sister was eating her drunken noodle she pulled a black hair out of it, my sister is blonde. never coming back
edit: a few months back i also ordered take out, they gave me someone else’s food with mine, I drove home and got a phone call asking me to come back. why would they want me to bring it back for the other person when it had already left the building, that’s gross. let it fly at the time but clearly quality has gone down here

Got takeout tonight and was really disappointed. The only decent things were the white rice and the California roll — everything else was bland, dry, and just not enjoyable. For the price, I expected much better quality and flavor.
