Townies is an awesome bar to watch a Vikings game. I walked in as a Packers fan and still had a great time—got a few looks, but all in good fun. The smoked pork cheesesteak was fantastic, and the smoked brisket chili was amazing. Plus, 99¢ beers were a huge win. All in all, a terrific spot to catch a game. Highly recommend to anyone in Rochester!

I would give the service a 20 out of a 10. General manager was working Friday for lunch. Very friendly and took top notch customer service. Food was very good. If go to Rochester make it here. I do!! Best subs. Cheese balls were amazing also. Buddy got the fries loaded.

Look – I’m gonna level with you. Is this the same cheesesteak that I used to get when I lived right outside of Philly? No. But what it IS is absolutely delicious. I’ve tried other cheesesteaks in town but they were way too light on the cheese (which is kind of important since it’s right in the name). Townie’s, though, gave me plenty, and everything was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful.
Don’t pass on the chipotle mac and cheese, either.

Absolutely loved my visit! The grill’d Philly subs were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection easily one of the best I’ve had. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and so satisfying. Their bar and happy hour are top-tier with great deals, a fun vibe, and super friendly bartenders who make you feel right at home. And don’t miss the loaded Bloody Mary bar it’s seriously next level. Can’t wait to come back!

It is a little restaurant at one end of the clubhouse at soldiers field golf course. You order at the counter and they give a table pager that goes off when it’s done. You then go pick it up. It was a nice day so we sat outside on their patio and watched the golfers. The food was quite good though so it was worth going there.

What a great Philly! Bread is fresh meat and onions. Mushroom were phenomenal. Onion rings top-notch. Kind of a hole in the wall joint in Rochester. A must if you like Philly sandwiches.

Just finished my meal here at townies, had the Philly uptowner and beer cheese soup. The sandwich was not very good the only good part about it was the bread . The meat was poor quality and had no taste whatsoever , seemed as if it was under seasoned. Your definitely not getting and shredded ribeye here the sandwich its self lacked flavor . The soup was ok . Pricing was fair but for what I got.

I have recently found out about this place. I absolutely love it here! They have happy hour everyday from 3-6 pm. 2 for 1 on drinks. Beer, cocktails and wine. The sandwiches are phenomenal.. 7 inch or 11 inch. Service is top notch. Tim& Primo are an amazing team. If you want to sing, Karaoke on Friday night from 7-11.
