I love this place. Strong, cheap drinks, indoor and outdoor seating, really got next to the Catawba river, good music and great menu options. Idk that I’ve ever had anything here that wasn’t yummy! Burgers are good, salads are huge, best black bean burger ever and broccoli salad is amazing! Lots of beers on tap and nice list of $8 drinks!

Their drinks went up $1 each but are still so yummy!!!! Had the chicken tenders basket. Chicken is fresh but the breading was kinda greasy. I still love this place. Alisha was a fantastic server!!! Past visits we’ve also had doodles ( don’t remember her real name) and Amber. Always great ladies!

We love the Tavern! Great atmosphere, service, food & drinks! They have outside seating right by the Catawba River that just adds to the experience! Love it!!! We also had to purchase a T-Shirt to add to our collection!

We have loved Town Tavern for many years and was so glad they were able to reopen after Helene flooded them out. Our favorite meal is fish and chips! I also love the fried pickles. They even started carrying cocktail sauce for the fish because so many people requested it. Such a wonderful local place, with excellent service and atmosphere. If it’s a nice day, we always sit outside overlooking the river!

This place is great! The view from the porch was awesome right on the river! My wife forgot to order some of my food, and our sweet waitress Ashley made sure it got to us at the same time as the rest of our food. She was an awesome waitress! The young man helping bus the patio was very helpful as well. Sry, I did not catch his name. Give this place a try, we drove almost an hour for lunch here, and it did not disappoint! It’s very much worth the drive. The prices are not bad either.

My husband and I were driving through the area, and stopped for lunch after eating at the same restaurant brand in West Jefferson, NC because it was so good… And we were SO GLAD we did!! The food and service were amazing, and the River side view was breathtaking, even with it raining outside! The place was extremely clean, and our waitress was wonderful! And the food (Philly and fish and chips) was delicious!!❤️ Highly recommend!!

We heard this place was good prior to the storm but never got there to try. Maybe in a year or so we’ll try it again.
Nachos lacked flavor, portion size, and were drenched in watered down queso. Not sure what they’re thinking, but it was not good. Wings are very small, but flavor was OK. Food came out slow and cold, but staff was good.

Food came out quick. It was hot and delicious. Our server Emma was very nice and attentive! I had the fish and chips and my husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich.

Tavern burger was a huge hit, absolutely delicious. Our server was Rose, it was her first shift on the floor alone and she was very attentive. You could tell she was kinda nervous but she did a fantastic job! Overall good experience.

I miss the old Friday friends. Food is ok, only reason why I came back 2 times after the 1st time is because my 85yr old mother in law loved there fish sandwich
