I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been here twice visiting Covington. Its been open since the 1960s I think and pretty sure the same family still runs it. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful and funny. The food was amazing both times I went…. so good I cleaned my plate before I remembered to take a pic. I have had lunch and breakfast and recommend both. Definitely a must try and will be back next time im in town!

Heard a lot about this place, so we stopped in this morning for breakfast. Quaint old restraunt with many full tables for a later Monday morning. The menu is quite simple.
The eggs were cooked to perfection. You would think, “well, you cant really mess up eggs” – but it is rare to find someone who can perfect the egg like they did. I would go back for more.

First time here with our girls. The service was very good, I ordered the chicken with grits and eggs. Best eggs I have ever had and the chicken was juicy, tasty, and crispy. My husband was disappointed that the steak wasn’t actually a steak, but he said it was really good. We loved the country atmosphere.

This is a wonderful little dinner. Chris was my server and was very pleasant and attentive. The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. The prices were very reasonable and there was no upcharge for using my credit card. I highly recommend.

Stopped in while traveling for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent!! Had country style steak with rice & gravy and fried okra. It reminded me so much of my grandmothers home cooking.

The food is always great. Excellent wait staff but I feel they are always understaffed. If you’re in a hurry or have somewhere to be then this might now be the best option. Expect to wait 30 min to an hour for your food.

Adorable place set back in time. I had this place on my list for a while and I decided to go there for lunch. I found out that they close at 4pm and it was almost 3pm. Luckily I still had time to get a bite. They even took someone in for a sit down meal around 3:45pm. I noticed they do alot of take out orders as well. I had a bacon Cheeseburger deluxe and a sweet tea and all was delicious. The restaurant is offset from the town center but still in it so the views are limited. This allows for exploring the town center before or after eating. I think the place is family run and the service is great, I plan to go back and try more dishes.

Came here for my first time today for a solo lunch date. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome (Very hospitable) I had the country fried steak with rice and gravy and fried green tomatoes. The country fried steak was tasty although I wasn’t a fan of the gravy (I’m a cooker so I’m hard to please when it come to gravy anyway) but those fried green tomatoes were very good. Had the perfect crunch to them and were seasoned just enough. They waiters were very attentive & the atmosphere felt very homey. Would definitely recommend trying this hidden Gem if you’re in the area! Great work here ❤️
