I have never been in there and got good service. They are rude and flay out mean. They have the worst service that I have ever endured from any place I have ever been to. They will serve the same person multiple times and never acknowledge that you exist no matter how many times you try to get their attention. I will Never step foot in that place again.

Wonderful! The tacos were TO DIE FOR and the staff made me want to be a regular here!
Met the owners too- they’re wonderful and passionate, and only planning more and more improvements!
The drinks were great as well, very fun, relaxed, kind atmosphere.

The service was incredibly slow; it took over 30 minutes just to get our first round of drinks. The worst part was the bartender—he was clearly intoxicated and even tried to pick fights with customers. The atmosphere, which should have been enjoyable, was tense and uncomfortable due to the bartender’s erratic behavior.

When I came to thus town I used to go two a month to this Place, the last two time I have been there , There is a Girl in the Bar (Manager I Think) She has been not nice to me, so far I don’t know what I did or is she really hate me, She doesn’t allow me to get into the bar, it’s racist and Honestly I don’t understand. Only reason I gave one star because of her.

The common area in the back is a great place to smoke and meet new people. It’s fun to select the music you like and hear it over their sound system throughout the bar. The drinks are affordable and good, and the bartenders are kind and know their stuff.

Definitely would recommend to people going on a bar crawl as one of their destinations.

A rating should be based on what the business actually is, and not what the person reading it is looking for. Townhall Tavern does not pretend to be a fancy bar. We quite affectionately referred to it as a “dive bar“. If you’re looking for everything to be perfect and pristine and feel like you’re on the Front Range, then I guess you will be disappointed and should go somewhere else. But if you’re looking for a place that is a lot of fun, open late, has a great selection of beer, and a solid selection of friendly locals, then this would be the place for you! Thursday night they have karaoke which is an absolute blast. If you do go, be sure to get a “Mexican candy“ shot. It’s the signature drink invented by the owner/bartender Brian. I love this place. Anyone that’s writing a bad review about it clearly shouldn’t have gone in in the first place. Us locals are incredibly loyal to this establishment. If you want to be “part of the crew“ then come in. We would love to see you and welcome you here and to the wonderful town of Montrose.

I am definitely a dive bar hunter and this is a find or all finds. They even have Coors Banquet on tap, huge plus. Great laid back staff that love the old stuff when talking music. A great hang and I’ll be back for sure.
