This diner is really small, and the cook kept burning toast while we were there. The burnt smell was overwhelming on a hot and humid morning. There was also something going on with the servers, which led to the second one frustrated with the first one.
I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits. My husband had eggs, sausage, and home fries. Both of us thought the food was average. I love supporting small town businesses, but we probably won’t be back here.

We were so happy to find this little spot for our first place to dine out since corona-crazy started. They were doing everything right to keep their patrons safe and had tables and chairs spaced out and hand sanitizer at the ready. For a little roadside diner this place was great. The food was delicious and prices were great but most importantly was the folk who run the place, just good old fashioned friendly folk with great conversations!

Checked it out after several recommendations. It’s a little out of the way going through Waverly. But, if your not in a hurry it’s the place to go. The wait staff and cooks were very pleasant and eager to please. For breakfast I had eggs, potatos, sausage and toast. Definately a plus for the home made sausage patties. Will go back again. Very soon for lunch.

Really good breakfast. Breakfast is a simple meal but it’s amazing how often the food is lacking. I had a really well made breakfast here though. I loved the home fries- crispy on the outside and soft and cooked through in the middle.

I wish i could give this place zero stars. Over easy eggs were way over cooked. The waitress disappeared after dropping off the food. We weren’t able to even get a drink refill. I had to track her down to pay and she still didnt even ask how everything was.

During covid, this is the most disgusting restaurant I’ve ever eaten. Neither the server nor the cook wore a mask properly. Both wore a mask as a chinstrap. Why even pretend? The tables were not wiped down, the menus were not cleaned or paper, and the bathroom did not have soap. I’m patiently waiting 2 weeks to see if I have covid from all the health violations. If this were early in the pandemic, I would have more empathy for all the changes, but, at almost a year in, get your act together. No one wants to continue with the covid changes even a second longer than it has to, but blatant disregards for the health and safety of both employees and patrons is exactly how the virus spreads. The bacon was also very rubbery. I would give this no stars if possible. I should have left before sitting down. It was the only diner in town without a wait. Red flag not headed.
