Lady luck decided my dinner.
Was torn between a getting a traditional Ruben and something called a New Yorker, so I flipped a coin and it came up tails, meaning I was going to be trying something totally new.
Called in and put my order down for a large batch of onion rings and the New Yorker, which read like a Ruben, but lacked the sauerkraut and had pastrami alongside the corned beef and spicy mustard. Total ended up coming to ten cents short of $26, a very fair price for what I got.
Pickup was easy, staff was fast and business-friendly, was almost tempted to buy one of the desserts, but I already had a box of cookies back home so I decided against it.
Back home I opened everything up, and firstly noticed that these guys know their fried food well as they poked holes in the plastic containers to let the steam escape and not soggafy the crispy textures. They both smelled amazing too. I tried the rings and a couple handmade chips first, both exceeding my expectations. The rings were fried dough crispy, with plenty of shatteringly shell and a softer interior surrounding the onion. But not underdone mind you. Flavor was also spot on. The chips were far more subdued, but they just had such a rustic potato flavor to them without the need to take it any further. Lightly salted and peppered, I really liked them. But the New Yorker was the clear winner here, stuffed to the brim with meat and cheese, the mustard being a wonderful flavor cutter, and the rye bread was toasted but not causing the insides to spill out with each bite. Oh man, that was good.
I also noticed they do breakfast sandwiches, and with the closure of Anthony’s, I’m thinking I should come back to check it out.
Full marks, 5/5.

Wow my partner and I have been SLEEPING on this place. We are local to the area and just tried them out yesterday and were so happy with the food, the friendly service and the no fuss atmosphere. They have generous hours as well as a generous menu. We’ve been longing for a spot you can get a good breakfast sandwich later in the day and THIS IS IT!!
We will definitely be going back again and again.

Where do I start…..ah yes, the meatloaf sandwhich, oh wait the reuben total toss up. Man my two favorite sandwiches both made spot on!! The reuben is made to perfection EVERY single time, i could have this several times a week! But once I tried the meatloaf sandwhich for the first time I went to bed thinking where has this been all my life?? I found a new love, this sandwhich is so so so good! The onions, the cheese, the meatloaf was delicious, I will be a repeat offender. The potatoe salad hands down is the BEST I’ve ever had, my daughter agrees and the other day I tried an apple crisp cookie (I think), wow I hope noone saw me attack that thing, I’m sure I looked like tje cookie monster. ❤️ the staff is always friendly, the prices are fair and there is always something new to try. I will be back again and again AND again!!

Happy that we stopped here for that steak and cheese on a nice toasted roll with fresh mushrooms and a huge portion of chopped steak. We also had the Mac and Cheese which was very good and that Mac Salad stole the show. Very good service and nice people to boot!

Salad was over priced for ice burg lettuce…not a fan. The chicken breast was moist moist but not enough…. service was great and loved the place. I will give it another shot because of the staff and the quality of the food.

Absolutely awesome. Just a straight up killer sandwich. We had a meatball, and a turkey grinder. The house made chips are great too. When you imagine a sandwich shop, this is it. They know their regulars by name and greet them when they walk in. Highly recommended.
