I usually go for Friday night karaoke, but will occasionally pop in for lunch when work takes me out that way. The servers are great, food is excellent, place is always clean, and the crowd is pretty friendly (usually). There were a couple of people there the other week demanding to be bumped, trying to jump in on other people’s songs, and instead of using the app or sign up sheet just kept badgering the poor host. But the D.J. was a real pro, kept it professional and remained jovial, keeping the party going… I feel bad that I can’t remember his name but made my group and a lot of other regulars feel like we were old friends. Same sorta vibe the amazing Trish and Carter (the regular alternating host we usually go for) do.
I don’t leave reviews often, but when I saw that one of the guys who were problematic that night leave a bad review, I felt the need to defend this great spot and that poor DJ… Kid, ya did great. Don’t pay any attention to that tofu eater who’s only good review is of a roofing company that looks like they buy positive feedback. Just maybe next time start at 10 not 10:08 (I know thats what time he started, cause the 1st song was my friend’s favorite and we joked that the start time also happened to be her bday 10/08. Stupid I know…..but not as dumb as complaining karaoke started EIGHT MINUTES after it was supposed to.

Have been back to Towey’s several times since our initial visit in Jan 2024. Great neighborhood spot. Place is clean. Service is great. Food is good and Prices are reasonable.

Stopped in early afternoon on a whim. Really glad we did. Bartender was efficient, knowledgeable and very nice. Nice size bar and place was clean. Already had some lunch earlier so only ordered one item off the menu – their special roast beef / steak sandwich. What floored me is that the bartender sliced the meat to order before making the sandwich. It was excellent. Will definitely go back and try more items off the menu.

Bar is okay, bartenders are super cool. have a problem with the dark haired guy hosting karaoke last weekend. He was late, first of all, and second so incredibly rude. Watched him literally yell at my friend when they asked to put a song in, but his little gaggle of friends he had with him went up 2-3 times within the span of an hour. If you wanted to host karaoke for your friends do it at home. Rubbed me the wrong way, she was so upset and we won’t be back

Bartenders were scarce and spotty. Wouldn’t serve a new tab after 1:20am with a 2:00 close time. Need more staff during weekends, not happy with how my group was treated. Couldnt get a single drink past 1am. Unbelievable. Bartenders take their sweet old time. Wouldnt recommend if you are looking to drink a bit, more of a cluster and social scene, have to be there a WHILE to get a drink. Waste of a weekend night.

The service was incredible, and the guy behind the bar was so friendly and attentive. I expected more of a dive bar experience, but the selection of beers was unique and the bartender was so knowledgable about different beers and breweries it felt much more upscale, with prices that fit our budget. To top it off, the cheesesteaks they serve are probably one of the best ones in the area, if not all of Philadelphia.

1st time stopping in and the drinks are well priced. There was a woman who was singing very loudly though I wish they would have asked her to stop. I just worked 10 hours I didn’t want to hear her sing. I’ll stop by again I hope she’s not a regular or else ill have to update my review.

Friendly and patient staff. Did a great job of handling the Thanksgiving-eve crowd with what seemed like limited staff. The place was so crowded you could barely move from one end of the building to the other. Might have had to wait a few extra minutes for a drink but still great service regardless.
