Since being here in New Orleans, we can’t find a good pizza joint near us in Lakeview. Drove by Tower of Pizza this afternoon and decided to try this evening.
We ordered our pizza, medium with onions and mushrooms, to go that’s why I didn’t give stars for service or atmosphere. Picked up and left.
However, upon picking up, this place had the Italian flair of what you imagine a pizza/pasta place looking like back in the day.
Counter person was friendly and polite. Always a plus in my book.
We are happy to say that this pizza was absolutely fabulously delicious! Sorry that we didn’t order a large but with all the other places we have tried, a large was a waste of money. Now we only have two slices for leftovers.
We will be ordering again sometime soon.

FINALLY!!! I can say that I’ve had good pizza in Louisiana thanks to Tower of Pizza. Everything we had was knockout – Italian Toss, meatballs, hot & spicy pizza – lights out. And everyone knows bud light tastes best in a frosted glass! Staff is so nice and welcoming you can tell everyone that works there cares about your experience and the quality of food/service guests get. The vibes of the place are that classic pizza joint we all long to converse in for hours. 100000/10!
Can’t wait to be back soon

We were excited to try this place, but unfortunately the food didn’t meet our expectations. The large pepperoni pizza was mediocre — the texture reminded us a bit of cardboard. The spaghetti was okay, but the meatballs had an unusual, slightly burnt taste that we didn’t enjoy.

The service was ok.

For $40 for a large pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs, we didn’t feel the quality matched the price. We hope this feedback is helpful, as there’s definitely room for improvement.

Tower is the best pizza place that Nola has to offer. In my opinion. It’s the definition of what pops into my brain when I think Nola Pizza. From the old Italian Bucktown red and which checker table cloths. The OG whop salad with club cracker and believe the 3rd generation grandson runs it. Staff that I know is imbedded. One guy told me he’s made pizza there for like 25 or some crazy number amount of years. His shoe prints are worn in the ground between the make station and pizza oven. That’s the old school double decker work horse. The one you have to have for the crust. Or it just isn’t right. A lot people try and shoot close. But this is true OG Nola pizza at its finest

This is an original New York style pizza. It is delicious! As soon as you bite into it, you can have a sense of Italy on each bite. I think it’s a great place to go for a nice sit down or take out and enjoy a very good New York style pizza I certainly recommend families couples of all ages to go. Enjoy the most delicious pizza in Metairie!

The casual atmosphere makes it a great spot to grab a bite, though it can get a bit loud, and the seating is definitely tight. They offer a good selection of pizzas and toppings and other classic Italian dishes. Had the meat lovers pizza this visit and it was great. You can dine in or order takeout.

I walked into Tower Of Pizza and immediately was skeptical. I was like man can these people cook pizza. I’m so disappointed because New Orleans Pizza is nothing great and haven’t really had any good experiences. But now. I have. This pizza is the greatest pizza in New Orleans. I repeat greatest. This pizza made me consider if New Orleans/Metairie could be in the equation of the New Jersey / New York Discussion. It was that good. And I know good pizza. The sauce was amazing, cheese amazing, crunch amaaaazing!!! If you haven’t eaten at Tower Of Pizza I highly recommend it. In fact you need to right now!

when we arrived it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. apparently we lucked out and arrived during a less busy time. the pizza was fabulous. it’s a little small in here so if you plan to eat olin make sure you plan for when you can get a table.

update – consistency is a big issue. the first visit was absolutely fabulous. second visit was still good, but not as stand-out as the first. the third left a bit to be desired. the pizza, which is the main reason for going, was not at all like it previously was. it was too thick and overdone. we did ask about the difference and were told something about possible differences in dough rising time or something similar. unfortunate, as with this restaurants hours, it has to be a deliberate trip to come here, and without the consistency, that’s just not happening.
the spaghetti and meatballs are very good. the sauce is on the sweeter side, so if you need a more savory sauce, it may not work for you.
the service is always great.
