I’ve had a good ube cloud cake some time in July and it’s was phenomenal cake that I’ve ever had in my life. I decided to order it again for my 9 year old daughter birthday at the front desk , but the cashier was not sure if that cake is available at this time of the year. She gave me a number and told me to call or customize for what I wanted.
I called and talked to Zoe. I told her that I wanted the exact Ube cloud cake at the shop but they don’t have it since it was the seasonal one . However, she insisted she can make one similar to it if I tell her what my flavor or any idea to put in the cake. I just want the exact ube cake at the shop. She suggested the inside could be just sponge cake and she can make the sweet purple yam filling and I was ok with that. I told her just as much as similar to the ube cake because all my kids and family members loved it the last time we had. I also asked for writing “ happy 9th birthday” and my daughter full name on the cake and she replied ok.
Eventually I called and made a payment few minutes after the talk. It was $48 for an eight-inch cake and $10 extra for customization. The total was 60-ish dollars with tax.
I went in the next day and picked it up. I glanced at the corner as the cashier gently slide the cake in the box. There’s no my daughter name on it and I knew that it would not be the cake that I expected.
First, I am claustrophobic and seeing these tiny round purple pearls killing me. I did not ask for the pearls. Secondly, I asked for my daughter name to be written down and it was not on it. On top of that, the cake is not anywhere similar to the one that sold at the shop. I am beyond disappointed because this is a signature bakery but it failed my expectations. I paid extra but received a homemade-like cake. It tasted very bland and the cream was not any close to that ube cloud cake.

Macarons are fluffy and flavorful. In particular, pistachio, birthday cake and rose should be on your “to try” list. The cloud cakes are absolutely delightful, they are delicate sponge cakes with a light, airy texture that melts in your mouth. The fruit flavors are perfectly balanced. Overall a good bakery to visit. The staff could do better by displaying a bit of welcoming attitude instead of a straight face that seems to not want any interaction.

Don’t let the fancy name and packaging fool you. I got milk pillow bread – 4 minis. sounds like fancy airy tasty happily bread right??!! Nope….. it was plain boring, sad white dough. There was no milky taste, no fluffy pillow bread. it’s simply just dough for $6 plus with fancy name. I’m beyond anger wasting my money. My husband and I had one. He says it taste like uncook or unbake dough. This is actually a “0” star.

It is one of my favorite bakeries and pastry shops that I visited recently. My friend took me to this place. And it’s definitely impressive with the collection of croissants, cakes, and pastry options. The store looks fantastic in and out and maintained well, super clean, and it gives you a nice environment to sit and relax. My friends ordered coffee, and I got spinach feta Danish. And everything came right on time. The service is fantastic and the staff is friendly. The Danish tasted great and will try this place again. They have a shared parking lot and a lot of good stores in that strip mall.

I’ve been here half a dozen times, and I’ll keep stopping by when I’m around. All-in-all, this location has a great selection on the weekends (see pictures). I’m deducting one point for the apathy and/or ignorance from staff:
Let me say, I’ve worked customer service, so I know some days a forced smile isn’t possible. But I prefer to not feel like I’m putting a cashier out just by patiently, silently waiting to be attended to. Every time, the cashiers are apathetic bordering on rude. The final straw was when I ordered am iced latte and they made it hot. I very politely, almost meekly, asked for the correct drink, and they offered to simply pour it over a cup of ice. No thanks I didn’t order a *watered down* drink. They refused to fix their error.
Like I said, I’ll still return occasionally as my complaints aren’t egregious enough. Enough to deduct a star though

I was a frequent flyer, loved your food and have had it in Maryland several times, as well as Wayne. I have recommended the Wayne store many times and now, tonight, as has happened before….no spatula, no candles in a fifty-eight dollar birthday cake, which is supposed to come with those things in the box!
I was so embarrassed and I’m never going to recommend you again.
