First time here!!.. Great service here . The waitress Patty ( excellent). She was funny and was very friendly. She was around asking up if we need anything perfect amount of time. I had the stump water plater, just to taste it all . So much I had to take the rest home. Will come back again for sure !!

This was our first time eating at Toups Stumpwater and we were not disappointed! I ordered the Stumpwater drink and it was very tropical and tasty. I ordered the catfish platter and I got nice sized fillet pieces and a plate full of cajun style fries. I asked for the fish to be cooked a little extra crispy and it was perfect on flavor and the crust was on point. The meat was flaky and tender and cooked just right. They have a Gris Gris Seasoning that was great on the fries. Other dishes we had at the table were the crawfish etoufette on grits and the oyster platter and they were great and the portions on everything were more than enough. We met the owners and they were super sweet, Chelsea took great care of us while we were eating.

My fiancé & I went in at 8:30pm on a Saturday (not realizing they were closing at 9pm). We were greated by the friendliest staff and biggest smiles. They sat us and took our orders. Bri was our server and communicated that they were slightly behind schedule so we could be waiting almost an hour on our food. We received our food in less than 30 minutes and it was phenomenal! My fiancé ordered the catfish atchafalaya and I ordered the catfish platter with a side of pasta salad. The presentation and the taste earned 10/10 stars. The atmosphere and friendly/ family environment is exactly what Blanchard was missing !! Not to mention the best service we’ve ever received. We will definitely be coming back to try EVERYTHING ON THEIR MENU!!!!

Food was the best I’ve had ,oysters cooked and seasoned perfectly, alligator was tender and tasty , boudin balls were excellent. Our waitress Bri did an excellent job taking care of us and always had a wonderful smile. This was our first time there and was amazed how clean and nice the place is. The staff is as friendly as they come greeting us when entering the door. We will be back.

Thankful that they brought this restaurant to our community. Food is top notch and would choose to come here instead of driving into the city to get something that wouldn’t be half as good as this place. Customer service is great and prices are fair for the large portions you get. My daughter doesn’t eat seafood and got the chicken sandwich and she said it was the best chicken sandwich she’s ever had and I believe her because she’s had a lot of chicken sandwiches. I had the crab cakes and wife had the catfish and both were excellent.

Staff was friendly and inviting, food was amazing. The closest to true south Louisiana food I have found in 10+ years in this area. The perfect out of the way laid back date night destination. Make the drive, eat the food and create the memories.

Saturday was our visit
My wife ordered the grilled shrimp and it was suppose to include corn grits but the shrimp were laying on dry tasteless rice, I ordered the grilled redfish, again which was suppose to be with corn grits but was over dry tasteless rice as well . The waitress did bring us a bowl of the corn grits that were very good as was the the fish and shrimp. The side salad was terrible it was what appeared to be left over big hard pieces from actual waste of iceberg lettuce . Now for the really bad part of this visit, they had a special on char grilled oysters but a dozen get a half doz free. Sound like a good deal so we got that special, first let me say they weren’t completely awful but they lacked the cheese and butter they should have had . There was one inperticular that didn’t looks so good, I ate it anyway. Well since Sunday night about 730 pm I got very sick to my stomach and here it is Wednesday evening and still have bad diarrhea and a cramping stomach. My wife eat the oyster as well and she is fine. I believe that one was bad . We have eaten there a few times and have always had a great meal. And will probably eat there again but not the oysters especially on a special and out of season. . The staff is great no complaints at all with that, but the cook might want to read the menu .
