Stopped in for some coffee and a sweet treat. The hot latte with house made lavender syrup was really good. And the chocolate chip cookie hit the spot. They also have ice cream and other treats.

The history and charm of this shop immediately caught our attention and drew us in. The original furniture pieces add such a warm and nostalgic touch to the overall aesthetic, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier.

The only letdown was finding out that the ice cream isn’t homemade or unique to the shop—it’s just Blue Bell. Now, as a lifelong Blue Bell fan, I’ll never turn it down, but with a place that has so much originality and character, we were hoping for a menu that reflected that same spirit.

Still, it’s a cute spot and worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.

We stopped here on our way back home in Austin from the Shiner brewery. It was a nice find. I enjoyed a delicious caramel latte served in a big French cafe au lait breakfast mug and an enormous hot while cinnamon roll covered with butter sauce while my wife had an iced tea and a large pumpkin bread scone also covered in a hot butter sauce.
Our drinks and cakes were delicious. Our afternoon repast cost a very reasonable $22.21.

My wife and I got a strawberry lemon bar, a raspberry oatmeal bar, and a strawberry matcha latte. None of them were very good to be honest, but the staff was super friendly and helpful and the store has an old fashioned charm to it. The cookies, ice cream, and coffee all looked really good, so if we go back that is what I will get. It seems like they normally have old fashioned root beer that is made from a syrup mix, but their machine was broken when we visited. Something else to try next time!

If this isn’t the cutest charming locally owns spot. I got a sprinkle cookie that was buttery deliciousness. And the gingerbread latte was pretty darn good. It was a full menu with lighter bistro type items and ice cream. There are cute items to buy. I wish I had more time I would have stayed longer.

Great stop to stretch your legs, get coffee and a bite to eat while traveling. Stopped by on our way home and enjoyed an iced shaken espresso and ice cream. Will be back next time we come through! Definitely family friendly too.

This is absolutely my new favorite spot!! Such incredibly delicious gluten free options with a beautiful space and kind staff to match. My pup and I escaped the heat and enjoyed a yummy dinner together. We are a solo travel duo so I love when I can bring him into places.

New location since March, and the pin on the map is correct. Google will have you parl somewhere weird.

Loving the attitudes and atmosphere. The interior is a lovely set of mixed options. Small town places like this need our support.

You could definitely fit your whole crew at this place and feed em.

Lattes and root beer floats are excellent. Malted shake options available.

Consignment artists gift shop for the queer and allied folx in town.

It’s cozy, quiet when the crowd is low and you can call ahead to check their times, which are accurate on the listing.

Very nice place with delicious treats and tasty coffee.

We got the fudgey brownies with ice cream. They warmed up the brownies before bringing them out and that was a fantastic combo with the ice cream and the coffees.

Simple atmosphere with plenty of space to stretch out.

Visited Bastrop in October for some spooky activities and needed a coffee in the afternoon. That’s when we discovered everything closed at like 5pm lol but Tough Cookie was still open and it had such a wonderful atmosphere!! My drink was the “witches brew” and I loved their pastry set up. They also had vegan/gluten free options which was really appreciated
