By far one of the best meals we’ve had in the Aurora area. Having had the privilege of eating in New Orleans, I can honestly say this restaurant brings authentic NOLA flavor and soul right here at home. My wife and I came for New Year’s Eve dinner and enjoyed every bit of the food, ambience, attentive waitress, and experience.

For drinks, I had the NOLA Nectar (perfect for anyone who enjoys something on the sweeter side, which I do), and she ordered the Old Soul, which was absolutely outstanding.

Appetizers: we started with the Voodoo Tomatoes (Fried Green Tomatoes), and I have to admit, despite growing up in a Southern family, this was my first time trying them. I now realize just how much I’ve been missing out. Incredible!

For entrées, I ordered the Beef Bourguignon, pork tender. It was perfectly seasoned, served over mashed potatoes with just the right touch of bacon bites and sauce. It was “Southern grandma” comfort food at its finest. My wife chose the Maple Rouge Salmon, which came with braised greens and tasted home-cooked, Mississippi-down-south excellent.

We wrapped things up with the Bourbon Street Beignets served hot, fresh, and every bit as good as the ones I’ve enjoyed in New Orleans.

Another big plus: the portion sizes are just right. You leave satisfied, not stuffed, with enough room for an appetizer, entrée, and dessert without feeling overdone.

We will absolutely be back.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that feels genuinely special without taking itself too seriously, Touché in Aurora deserves a spot on your list. We visited with friends on a recent evening, snagging the 4:30 reservation since 8 pm was the only other option, and honestly the early seating turned out to be a happy accident. We arrived a few minutes ahead of time and were seated right at the front of the restaurant, giving us a great vantage point to take in the whole warm, atmospheric space as it filled up around us.

We started with drinks, a hibiscus margarita and an old fashioned, both of which were excellent. The hibiscus margarita in particular had a beautiful color and a flavor that was floral without being precious. A great sign of things to come.

For starters, we ordered oysters and the Voodoo Tomatoes: fried green tomatoes with corn relish and Cajun rémoulade. The Voodoo Tomatoes were a standout, crispy, tangy, and just spicy enough, with the rémoulade tying everything together perfectly. The kind of appetizer you keep reaching for even when you know you should save room.

For mains, I went with the Louisiana Catfish, fried catfish served over jambalaya with braised greens and a Creole sauce. It was deeply satisfying, the kind of dish that reminds you why Southern cooking is its own art form. Dan had the Beef Bourguignon, an 8oz slow-cooked short rib with mushrooms, potato purée, bacon, pickled shallots, and a red wine demi glace. He raved about it, the meat was fall-apart tender and the demi glaze was rich without being heavy.

We finished with beignets for dessert, because of course we did. Pillowy, warm, and dusted generously, the perfect ending.

Everything was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere struck just the right balance between lively and intimate. Touché is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you’ve even left. Highly recommend.

Very cozy and laid back atmosphere with jazz playing in the background.

The dinner menu had more than enough choices for great options for Louisiana style French creole cuisine.

The gumbo was delicious. Opted for the chicken and sausage option but you can add shrimp.

The crab cake comes with remoulade and a well-dress frisee salad. Again very delicious.

The fried plantains were a hit, especially with the pepper jam provided.

Perfectly fried catfish sits atop a tasty bed of collard greens cooked southern style with smoked turkey.

Shrimp and grits dish was a creamy and cheesy with well seasoned shrimp with that perfect bite.

Not on the menu but try the coffee. The roaster is local to Aurora.

Top it off with a friendly and knowledgeable staff and you have a hit. Highly recommended.

Saturday night came here to celebrate a birthday. This was the first time attending for everyone. They were out of the steak (must be a good sign) so we took the waiter’s (Jordan) recommendation of the catfish. 4/6 of us got the catfish. It was so good! I had ordered a side of Mac and cheese and it wasn’t my favorite. It is very cheesy almost liquidy. However, everything besides that was AMAZING. Including the truffle fries (appetizer). For dessert they ran out of beignets (must be another great sign) so we ordered something else. Jordan (our waiter) was very efficient, and friendly. He was patient and answered all our questions. Definitely will be back soon! My recommendation is to make a reservation. Our reservation was at 8:15pm but we weren’t sat until around 8:35pm. The interior is beautiful and I loved the touch of R&B tracks playing.

Had a lovely dinner here the other day! I got the fettuccine, and my boyfriend got the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent dishes, there was a lot of flavor, especially in the fettuccine. It was a little overpowering but delicious. Very heavy food, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Just something to note! The grits were absolutely divine. The service was lovely!

Delicious food that Reminds me of home. Taste like real Southern cooking.
Tonight I had the Quater house steak and fries. I usually don’t eat steak outside of a steakhouse but I highly recommend it here.
Poma Rita cocktail is delicious
The Touche bread pudding is soo delicious. A firm but yet delicious bread pudding with fresh fruit and ice cream with caramel drizzle

Update for New Year’s Eve Party

I did attend the New Year’s eve party. Unfortunately I must agree with the other people that wrote a review based on the NYE party. The waiters walking around with appetizers prioritized a few tables skipping some altogether. Mine was one that was walked passed many times. I could overlook the trying to get set up after the initial start of the NYE party, it looked like a previous private party might have happened and ran into overtime , however at a semi hefty price per person even for a small buisness ya need to try a little harder to keep the guest you have coming in. Unfortunately i only received 3 oysters to eat from there (I ended up vomiting for a long time after I got home ) no I didn’t get drunk , it was too much time to get drinks ordered. Not sure if anyone else had this experience. All in all I like the normal day to day experience at this restaurant but as far as New Year’s Eve parties I will not recommend it.

I saw an influencer review this restaurant and it looked so good that I took to the road for the greater than one hour ( one way) drive. The ambiance is beautiful. The service was acceptable but could have been a bit more attentive. Nothing too terrible. The crab cakes and accompanying salad were delicious !!!! So good I could have gotten 2 and cakes it a . My friend and I both ordered crab cakes for appetizers and the fried catfish and “braised” greens for entree. The entree was mediocre at best and that was the consensus for both of us. I also order Brussel sprouts which were awful! I would give them another chance if I lived closer, but wouldn’t drive that far on a gamble.

The restaurant was easy to find, in the heart of downtown Aurora, the place is beautiful reflecting true plush NOLA style. We were greeted immediately upon arrival at our reservation time and sat within a few minutes. It took a while for our waiter to come, but she came with smiles and took our order. We had the carb cake appetizer, which was all crab, little breading. It was delicious! I also had the Hury-Cane, it was like a sparkling wine cooler it was ok.
Next up was our dinner choices which were the shrimp and grits, catfish and blackened chicken. Everyone gave raved reviews. We agreed the food was flavorful with a beautiful presentation, but the servings were on the smaller side especially the chicken (one piece) which was inhaled by my 25 year old son. The pricing was very reasonable in comparison to the restaurant prices today so that was a perk!
Overall, very good time beautiful atmosphere great food; it’s a must try! Job well done guys!!

Absolutely Great experience at this restaurant. Our server was attentive and great. The food was amazing. We had the gumbo which was perfectly seasoned, the temperature could’ve been a little hotter but overall great dish. We enjoyed the grill oysters, Creole catfish entree, and one of my absolute favorite Shrimp and Grits! Everything was delicious. The Hurricane was Hurricaning….They got me right! So excited to have this Gem right in our neighborhood. I know for sure this is about to be one of my favorite places to dine!

I came to this place 2 days in a row….yes the food was just that good. Kisses to the chef! Every dish I tried my plate was clean. First day was brunch, I started with an espresso martini and I’m not a cognac Girl (my fault because I didn’t look at the menu before ordering it) so I didn’t really drink it cause it was a little too strong for me. I had the gumbo, very flavorful and just enough spice. The banana fosters French toast, 10/10 the shrimp and grits, perfect… the second day I came for dinner and had the fried green tomatoes, love the twist with the peppers and corn.. great compliment to the sauce. And lastly the amazing fried catfish with collards and jambalaya. Crispy fish and savory sauce drizzled over the fish from the jambalaya that was nestled under the collards and the fish. OMG! Amazing! You all did not disappoint from the food, to the great service, from everyone ( I love how everyone is on one accord) and the ambiance, my new favorite restaurant and I’ll definitely be back soon.
