Walked in literally as they were unlocking the door to catch a late lunch. The restaurant was completely empty with the exception of the bartender and some staff. There are plenty of TVs, lots of booths and plenty of places to sit. Overall, the atmosphere is great, what you would expect from a college bar/restaurant in a college town. After speaking with the bartender who was very well spoken, he explained they had just started opening up for lunch on a regular basis. The Chicken Philly sandwich (all the way) with the onions, peppers, and cheese was off the charts phenomenal. Not only was it very large as portions go, but it was very, very good to eat, and let me tell you that sandwich was HOT! If you are looking for a lunch place in the “Five Points” section of Columbia, definitely come to Touchdowns!and get an awesome sandwich! Again the staff was very nice, extremely courteous, and very efficient. I am looking forward to coming here one NIGHT to enjoy the atmosphere and something more fulfilling than ice water (no ID required for water).

Touchdowns is a fun enough bar. It’s definitely a lot more corporate than the other bars in Five Points, and is lacking in a distinctive personality. With that being said, it is a fun place to stop by and grab a drink, and you can actually taste the liquor in their cocktails, which you can’t say for every bar in the area.
I will also say that their bartender (I’m unsure of his name) does a great job and is always very nice and friendly. A lot of times bartenders come off as very arrogant and seem like they hate their lives, but I love how interactive he is and how he always seems to be having a great time.
All-in-all, I would describe Touchdowns as an average bar with a great bartender!

So I went here because I saw someone post in a foodie group that they had a great pepper steak sandwich so I met up with a friend today and this is where we went the pepper steak sandwich was one of the best tasting pepper steak sandwich that I’ve had in Columbia. The only complaint if any was the size was kinda small for $15 for just a sandwich but I would go back because it wasn’t crowded for a Sunday and the food came out hot hot, we sat at the bar and the bartender was great. Well,it was about 6pm, we came to eat dinner and were asked for IDs to enter. We came for dinner and wanted to invite our teens. Unfortunately, being asked for an ID to enter somewhere for food, is absurd!
If you want to run a bar / club, please take it off the search bar for people looking to go out to eat at 6pm.
Btw, told it was ‘wing night’ and I would have easily eaten $30 worth of wings! By myself!

They charged a 18% gratuity fee I’m not paying almost $25-30 for a freaking Philly even though it’s good. They randomly started adding this fee and they didn’t do it at first. 15-18% is ridiculous it’s not like they’re charging a 5% fee

Best bar in Five Points. The staff are some of the nicest people you’ll meet and make some amazing drinks. If you are looking for a sports bar in Columbia, whether it be a Gamecock football Saturday, a night of baseball, or anything in between, it’s the bar for you.
The hidden gem though is the food. This is home to the BEST Philly Cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Food comes out fast, hot and delicious. Could not recommend this bar enough.

Great spot to grab a beer and eat an authentic Philly cheesesteak. Cooper sharp cheese and Amoroso rolls. Real Philly people know this is how you do it. 5/5 spot and the bartender Charlie was the man. Highly recommend.
