Our party of three had a wonderful time dining at this local Wantagh restaurant gem last night! We experienced five star friendly wait service, beautiful decor and Michelin quality dining! Guillermo, our waiter, was friendly, amusing and answered all menu questions to our satisfaction. Our water glasses were always full, such attention to detail was refreshing. Our table shared crispy Brussel sprouts with caramelized walnuts and cranberries with a balsamic glaze. Tender, succulent and crispy all at the same time. The mussels in red sauce was decadent, we asked for extra bread so as not to waste a morsel of the creamy goodness. We shared the 28 day dry aged Rib Eye for Two, medium rare, generous enough to serve all three of us. That was the best steak of my 69 years of life! Creamy garlic mashed potatoes, wonderfully smooth and the tender broccoli rabe complimented it perfectly. The only disappointment was the Yellow Risotto, a little al dente, though the flavor was superb. We ended the meal with coffee and raspberry sherbet. We were pleasantly sated and look forward to returning soon.

This place is a must if you’re in the area. The food and service were fantastic. The ambiance is quaint & cozy with an old feel. The service was fantastic. We went on a Friday night and they had live music. We were not rushed one bit. The apps, drinks, and wine list were also great. We had the Totos salad, the shrimp with blue cheese (can’t recall the name) app and the octopus. All were fantastic. I had the spinach fettuccine with seafood and marinara. The sea food was all cooked perfectly. My family has the steak for two with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. We really enjoyed our food and our experience here. Would highly recommend.

So we had a large table and many enjoyed the food. But the pork chop was tough and the broccoli rabe was undercooked. The place desperately needs to be remodeled. The service needs to be improved. Don’t ever reach across a guest at a round table.

Toto’s Restaurant absolutely exceeded expectations. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and Coco at the bar deserves a special shout-out—hands down one of the smokiest, most perfectly balanced Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had. You can tell real care and skill go into the cocktails.
Food was just as impressive. The octopus starter was phenomenal—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection Easily a must-order.
On top of all that, we’ve never felt such a strong Christmas spirit like we did in this place—the atmosphere was warm, festive, and truly special. If you’re staying at or visiting the Jones Beach Hotel, Toto’s is a can’t-miss spot. Highly recommend! ✨

Came for celebration of one or family event.
After reading a lot of good reviews- decision was made.
I ordered an Octopus and wanted it so much, but nobody told that is spicy.
Toto’s salad was good.
Calamari-fresh and soft.
Cocktails. We’re expecting more from Smoked Old fashioned. (Expectation-reality will attach) too much crushed cherries inside.
Plate for steak was with some crumbles.
Steak was good, but a little overcooked as for steak for more than $70
Also recommendation: provide for guests fresh pepper for this price range.
Our pepper was already old and had no flavor.
Stuff was trying to do all best. Trying to keep small talk and be nice-it is very valuable for us.
Also made half pasta portion for kid.
Place is cute.
Pretty old and needs some bathroom renovations-for this price range restaurant.

The food was AMAZING. This is an old school traditional Italian spot. Do not expect fancy decor or Instagram worthy ambience, but if you want a delicious meal and great cocktail you have arrived to the right place. We went for lunch so it was pretty quiet and the service was pretty quick due to this. The menu prices were reasonable as well!

We went to Toto’s on New Years Day meal and it was extremely disappointing. At first, I did not know it was connected to a hotel, which doesn’t make a difference, as I’ve been to many excellent restaurants that’s been connected to Hotels, but may be a surprise knowing its on a residential street. The inside was quite small, but makes it easier to talk to others. The food, was sadly very poor. The Lobster Bisque was fair, but I felt it was missing something, it was bland. The Prime steak, which was about $70 was not very good. Had a lot of fat/gristle connected to it, wasn’t that flavorful, no sauces provided or asked. The creamed spinach wasn’t that good as well, watery. As a hoping for the dessert to be good, the Lava cake was underwhelming. The entire outing was on par with Outback Steakhouse, in the sense it tasted like an Applebee’s type outing. I couldn’t recommend this place on any level.

My sister and I went to dinner for her birthday to this hidden gem. We shared the fried zucchini and each had 2 chilled shrimp. Both were cooked to perfection. I had the filet mignon and my sister had one of the chicken specials, with sides of asaparahus amd mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing. Desert did not disappoint, tiramisu, which is made on site and tartufo. Staff were accommodating, engaging and pleasant. Noise level was a bit higher than normal but we were surrounded by larger parties and it did not take away from the experience. There is a bar and there was a keyboard player that night. Wonderful dining experience and will go back fir sure.
