A fun local sushi bar in downtown Fresno. Tempura was light, not too oily. Garlic edemame was great, nicely seasoned. Ramens were tasty with a rich broth and overall good flavor. I had the mixed seafood ramen, which had tasty bits of fish and a hearty aesthetic. I definitely recommend getting the optional egg on the ramen. The service was good, and the food came out quickly. Great experience.

Tasty noodles, with rich broth, that had an enjoyable taste. Would give it 5 stars but the quality of food preparation is not the best. My noodles were stuck together and the broth was not super hot like you’d expect with ramen soups. They had a great selection of other tasty eats. Very nice staff, and fast service.

They have a Christmas parade every year that goes along the street right in front of the restaurant. We happen to be there December 11th when this parade is going. It was a happy surprise to be able to eat and watch the parade through their front window.
As far as the location goes, walking in is very calm and relaxed atmosphere. We were comfortable to take our child with us, even though it was a bar.
We ordered drinks and some appetizers first. Then after about an hour we finally flagged down our waitress to order the rest of our food. She said that they’re still waiting on the appetizers and walked away without getting the rest of our order. After another 20 minutes we flagged her down again and said we wanted to order actual food. She sighed and begrudgingly took down our order.
When our food did come it was absolutely scrumptious. Highly recommend the calamari with jalapeno! The Roman was pretty average… but everyone loves ramen, so no complaint here. Honestly, if it weren’t for the terrible customer service, I would have rated this a little bit higher.

It was cool to find a black owned business that does Japanese food in Fresno, CA! i tried the yakisoba noodle entree with chicken and shrimp and it was cool. Took a chance on something new! Next time I will try their grilled chicken teriyaki entree! I say to anyone curious to give them a try!

After an event downtown we sought a restaurant to deter the cold. We settled on this ramen place and were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was helpful and patient. The recommended ramen was full of flavor and delicious. Definitely worth the drive downtown.

Food is REALLY good, we had spicy tonkatsu ramen, chicken fried rice, and teriyaki udon. Prices are reasonable for both food and drinks considering it’s downtown. Would recommend.

11.13.25 I arrived at 5:20 Pm. The door sign says open because Google says they closed at 7 pm. Well guess what, as I came inside I was greeted by “I’m sorry we just closed “. Guy says they just started this week during his first week at work. Uh huh.
Mind you I drove from Clovis and Peach. Mind you I had to park on street. Mind you it’s now 5:35 pm as I type this review and the door still has OPEN lit up. Unbelievable. I have pictures

Great service — the host is doing an amazing job serving and seating everyone. The spot has a nice hole in the wall vibe with bar counter seating.
Unfortunately, the food preparation was very disappointing. I waited 35 minutes for my Tonkatsu Ramen, which had clearly been sitting out while the sushi was prepared. By the time it was served, the broth was lukewarm and the noodles were mushy and stuck together. The flavors were there, but the texture was ruined. The two chefs on the line seemed disconnected, with no communication to coordinate timing.
Later, my sushi finally came out but I had to ask for everything to be packed to go, since I was already out of time on my lunch break. Serving ramen that sits out at unsafe temperatures is a food safety concern, and sushi isn’t ideal for takeout under those conditions either.
Toshiko, please get your kitchen staff on the same page. The service and atmosphere deserve better consistency and quality in the food.

Atmosphere was nice! Thankfully it wasn’t packed while we went. Service was great! Very attentive. We ordered Onibi beers, our first time trying them. Got tantanem ramen, it was sooo good! What my husband ordered was also good. (As pictured) Would like to go back and try new things.
