We had lunch at Toscanini on a Sunday for my daughter’s first birthday, and the folks who run the place made it amazing. They fit 25 of us all at one table so that we could all see each other, which was really meaningful to us as most of our guests were meeting our daughter for the first time.
Freddy and the rest of the wonderful staff were warm, inviting, and so helpful. Even though we were such a large group and we were there before they opened fully at 5 so they didn’t have all the servers there yet, everyone got their food quickly and it was delicious. My daughter was a HUGE fan of the freshly baked bread and garlic knots.
We don’t live close by, but I can’t recommend this restaurant enough as a kid friendly and comforting place to eat a great meal. We’ll definitely be back when visiting family in the area!

It was a busy Valentine’s night. They had two servers out so I completely understand but the server was completely accommodating and provided a free bottle of wine for a lovely Valentine’s dinner for me and my fiance. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back.

Absolutely amazing, exceeded our expectations. Classic Italian fare, exceptional value for price. We came in around 2 on a Friday so there was only one other table. Not from the area and wanted something light but not crazy expensive. An absolute gem this place is. Waitress was so lovely. Owner came out and said hi to us and the other table. Old school vibes but sometimes that’s better than the modern places that care about high prices and aesthetics over value, taste and quality, not to mention quantity. Also love the fresh bread to start. Ordered serval appetizers between the two of us and left full but not uncomfortable. Portions were just awesome for the price. Will definitely be back any time I come to visit the area.

Full house for a fabulous restaurant week menu! 3 course meal with generous full dinner plus a regular coffee, cappuccino or espresso for $44 is a deal and then some especially when the food is delicious and everyone from the welcoming owner Freddy to all of his amazing wait staff make you feel the love from the minute you come in the front door till the moment you leave with full bellies and a handshake and a hug from Freddy.
We’ve had pretty much everything on the regular menu and the specials menu to boot! Some of our repeat orders are the stuffed artichoke, baked clams oreganata, fried calamari and mozzarella carrozza for apps! For mains their fish selections are always fresh and beautifully prepared, Gnocchi Bolognese is unctuous, Risotto al Funghi is perfectly all dente and creamy, the breaded veal with a a fresh arugula and cherry tomato salad is divine.
This is a neighborhood staple and a family favorite for all in this town. You are remembered, your order is remembered and you are missed if you don’t come by for a time.
The owner is so generous and kind that one afternoon a group of neighborhood kid were walking by and said hello and announced that it was one of their birthdays. Freddy ushered them into his place and fed them all a birthday lunch on the house. And that is one of the many reasons why Toscanini’s is still going strong 19 years and counting.

I came here with friends for dinner. The food was delicious and the service, while took some time, was wonderful. We ended up being in a rush to get back to the port to catch the last transport in the marina, and the owner of the restaurant drove us to the port himself to compensate for the slower than usual service. So incredibly nice of him and will come back here again when I’m back in the area!

I went here for the first time and this was one of the best restaurants I ever been to. The food, service, staff were top notch. This is a family run restaurant and you can tell they really care about their customers and the service they provide. Very authentic people and the owner was great.

went to eat lunch at Toscanini on a Friday afternoon we were the only customers inside so it was a chill atmosphere. we received fresh bread on the house, I ordered a Cesar salad that was insane, absolutely amazing would recommend. & for my main plate I ordered a penne a la vodka with mozzarella.. the sauce tasted good but it definitely would have been better without the mozzarella, it was overwhelming how much mozzarella they put in the plate.

Enjoyed an excellent meal here with friends. Had a great chicken dish- i think called chicken Anthony-with a brown sauce- loved it. Save room for the ricotta cheese cake. Was told it is made on premises and it was amazing- highly recommend-
Update. Ate at Toscanini’s again tonight. Had the chicken Anthony again. It was delicious. Everyone loved their entrees. Two friends had salmon and really enjoyed it as well. Service was very good and very friendly staff.

Great food qnd service. They let me order have size servings so I could try more dishes and packed everything really carefully so it wouldn’t spill on the ride.
The veal picatta (pictured, half eaten because I couldn’t help but finish a piece before I took out my phone ) was delicious. Looked small when I got it but definitely changed my mind by the time I finished the meal. The veal also came with a choice of spinich and some other vegetable dishes which I’ve now forgotten.
