Tosa’s is a locally owned restaurant by Tom & Lisa Jones (former owners of Stoley’s & Motsie’s). The menu is simple, yet delicious with a variety of salads, lighter fare, sandwiches & flatbreads. Some of the old favorites such as the chopped salad and tuna tacos appear on the menu but there are many new items to try too. The bar is also fully stocked to make any number of beverages to compliment your food selection.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Joneses, Tom & Lisa are back!
Tosa’s has brought its signature “Mood-N-Food” vibe back to the Great Neck/Hilltop area, and it already feels like a neighborhood staple. If you remember the Stoley’s days, this will feel familiar—in all the right ways.
Lisa’s cocktails are memorably excellent and come with her trademark snark (or, um, personality). Tom’s food is consistently outstanding and full of wholesome wonderment. Classics like the chopped salad and bronzed tuna tacos still deliver, while newer standouts include the steak bites and rotating specials (oh, hello, honey sriracha deviled eggs!).
Don’t overlook the Fried Green Tomato sandwich (feel free to add bacon). Delicately and expertly prepared, it’s a true Southern Delight. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken Quesadilla is beautifully thicc and packed full of flavor. Even the chicken tenders are done right: Lending themselves to being hand-cut, they are perfectly battered and cooked just right. The tenders are juicy and delicious, whether battered, grilled, or blackened. You even get a choice of dipping sauce.
Tosa’s is a fun, lively spot with great food and zero interest in being boring. I highly recommend.
I’ve known the owners for a long time, and it shows in everything they do. Tom is an incredible chef—his food is consistently outstanding. My go-to favorites are the chop salad and the nachos, but honestly, I’ve never had a single dish disappoint me, and neither has anyone I’ve dined with.
And then there’s Lisa, who makes a mean drink. She’s loud, funny, quick-witted, and exactly the kind of person who makes a place feel alive. The atmosphere is welcoming, fun, and genuinely warm. If you treat them like family, you are family.
Amazing food, great drinks, and even better people. Tosa’s Mood-N-Food is the kind of place you come back to again and again—and proudly recommend every single time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
