I don’t understand the poor reviews. This is hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had. Delicious. Large portions. Fresh. Incredible. I like to think I’m a fair reviewer of places, and I’m not sure how I’m so far from the average here. This place rocks.

A spacious, friendly, super fresh place of the highest quality. The owners have been supplying other restaurants and stores for decades now and know their sourcing. It is also as sustainable as possible and a sign reads that they are in compliance with Monterey Aquarium terms.. Veggie, vegan options are the only sushi made with black rice. I love the “salad roll” wrapped in cucumber and the rich, rich Crunchy Albacore special roll. Prices are comparable to Gelson’s downstairs

I went here with my friends for lunch. The place was busy and we had to wait for a table. The service was friendly but slow. The sushi was decent but nothing to write home about. The fish was fresh, but the rice was too mushy. The rolls were creative but too narrow and messy. The prices were reasonable but not cheap. I liked the miso soup and the edamame, but the seaweed salad was bland. Overall, it was an average experience. I might go back if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there.

Good quality fish, and they’re willing to make it fresh for you if you don’t like the ones on the shelf. You can taste the difference in the tuna quality, especially compared to a regular sushi restaurant using frozen tuna.

Tosai Sushi is my absolute FAVOURITE place to grab lunch in the Century City food court. The staff are constantly behind the counter putting new rolls together so you can be sure they’re fresh plus they have some really cool takes on classics. I especially love when they do their combo boxes!

Good quality and decent priced takeaway sushi. Quick service. Tried the vegan spicy mix veggie roll with black rice, which was flavorful and filling (only slightly spicy, about $8). They also have a few non-sushi items (spring rolls, mochi, Japanese/Asian-style snacks, etc). Tosai is located in the food court of the Century City mall.

There is only 1 person taking orders and preparing, he’s not washing hands after taking cash. He took forever to make my order and got it wrong. They need to add more people and better sanitary rules…
