I ordered the concha special, and it was the best thing I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. The taste was so much better than any other I ate, and it was HOT and fresh. Also, the chips were soooo good. They were light, crispy, thin, and fresh, just how I like them. idk who the cook was back there, but they did an outstanding job . Business seemed a little slow today there, but maybe that’s just today. If you just happen to go out and eatin and you pass this place I suggest you turn around and try it. The only problem, though, is the parking spots aren’t the best. Overall I’d rate this place a 9.3/10

I have given several chances but service has not gotten any better. It is the business responsibility to make sure their online ordering system is accurate. They don’t seem to care. Overcharged with no reimbursement. I went here because it’s convenient. Will not be back. Way too many other options that are better.

I ordered enchiladas supreme. The worst mexican food I’ve ever had. The menu has way too many dishes for the kitchen. Hopefully it gets straightened out soon as Carlisle needs another restaurant choice.

This place is so run down and nasty. I ordered a chicken taco salad and it was the worst salad I ever had it barely had anything on it. Just traveling threw. Save your money you would be better off eating food from gas station.

We both ordered the “grilled chicken with onions and green peppers.” We presumed that the vegetables would also be grilled, but we were mistaken. They were raw and lying on top of a bed of lettuce and grated white cheese. I like raw veggies but my Dad did not. The chicken was very flavorful, but was in very small pieces, not at all what I’m accustomed to. We were each given 3 flour tortillas, which were all very undercooked. Other than being hot there was no indication that they had been cooked at all. I really wanted to like this place. It takes a lot of guts to open a Mexican restaurant in such a small town. But I just can’t.

When you hear the term”southern hospitality” here it is. I’m from L .A got scary movie lost in this camp site of a town that was shut down by 8 pm I walked in askin if I may use phone. The rest from this was incredible I will post. God bless Tortugas.

The young lady who waited on us was very friendly! We were the only customers at the time, and our orders came out extremely fast. I highly recommend the #8 combo or the grande burrito. The salsa was good and the queso. When we went to leave we were told goodbye by both our waitress and the chef.

COMPLETE TRASH!!!! l ordered Nacho grande, and they left out some of the ingredients! Sloppy presentation! BARLEY any chicken or refried beans on it. Which where 2 of the only 3 topping put on. Refried beans were DRY. My taco that came with it was skimpy and empty as hell. I STRONGLY DO NOT recommend any going here. And l only ordered there because the KFC was closed.

Excellent food. Service was great. They need air conditioning. But over all great place. Love the chips with salsa and cheese dip. We ate the half pineapples with all the goodies inside it.

Chunky girls ventured to Carlisle today and took the moms out to eat. (Of course I couldn’t check into anything in Carlisle) we were pleasantly surprised. Disclaimer: El Canaveral is my favorite Mexican restaurant so that’s is where the bar is set. Chips were fresh and thin, salsa and guacamole was fresh and delicious. Fajita taco salad and regular taco salad for the moms, they said they were very tasty. Ro had Pollo fundido, she said was tasty as well. I had nacho supreme with special ordering. Everything came out in timely manner and just as ordered. The wait staff really friendly and prices were not unreasonable for Carlisle. Ro gives them 7.5 chunky girls and I also give a 7.5. So Tortuga’s II gets a 7.5 chunky girls out of 10. So Carlisle do yourselves a favor and support this restuarant.
