Not a big place but worth the drive. Generally speaking this is always a good choice for quality meals. Service staff is attentive to your dining experience, clearing away empty plates and glasses so your table doesn’t resemble to kitchen Sink. I will say the lasagna entree was not particularly special, although touted by our server as one of the better choices. Thus far, each seafood dish we’ve had has seen better than similar ones at other Italian restaurants.

This pizza was $22.60. It was ok, but no value what so ever. It wasn’t $22.60 good for its size. I’d pay $15 tops and not feel totally screwed over. Probably won’t be back for another year or so when I forget how disappointed I was the last time.

The lasagna looked wonderful and had high hopes when it was brought out. Unfortunately it was not very good. The flavor was great! There was way too much meat inside of the lasagna on each layer. The service was wonderful though! The pizza is always good here! Just would not get their lasagna ever again.

Very busy Friday night and our first time there. This is actually two separate restaurants with slightly different menus. We ate on the more family side. We ordered lasagna and the cheese tortellini with the garlic knots as an appetizer. Ordered the porker pizza to go. Both main dishes were good and the pizza was delicious. The garlic knots were not good and pricey as 12 cost $10. Unfortunately Our server impacted our meal as everything was late, zero refills and an overall poor attitude. She would not bring our appetizer and we had to get a manager to bring them. I want to go back and try the wood fired pizza on the other side.

We have loved this restaurant for years since they have such a wide range of gluten free options and have always been accommodating. But they switched their straws to pasta, did NOT notify our table, and we just assumed they were some kind weird recycled material. I did not find out until the end of my meal, when I noticed the ‘straw’ dissolved on the bottom, that it was a pasta noodle!! I am stuck having the worst reaction I have had in years, and the waitress seemed like she could care less. The owner tried to make it right, but honestly, how can you fix something that should not have been an issue to begin with. I never in my life thought as someone with celiac disease I’d have to check the freaking STRAWS. So if you have celiacs, just be warned. Staff doesn’t care enough to seem to even remember.

I enjoy eating here occasionally, but my main “gripes” are the restaurant not having more gluten free options (it could be helpful to make GF versions of their sauces, etc), and not marking on their online menus which items have gluten and egg. For those with allergies to both, it’s important to know. Otherwise, their food always tastes fresh and enjoyable!

Excellent food and great beer selection. Got an order to go while having a drink at the bar. The older female server had a terrible disposition. Not friendly at all. Kinda ruins the mood of the place. I think she has been there a long time. The food has always been great whether we eat in or get to go.

This was our first visit to Tortora”s, but it won’t be the last. This restaurant has a cozy feel with a comfy, relaxing ambiance. The meals that we ordered were delicious and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant near Hampton Cove, Tortora’s should be one that is considered.

Walked in at 4:40pm to the smell of bleach & the sight of impressively dirty floors. They’ve been open all of 10 minutes & couldn’t be bothered to sweep &, from the looks of it, mop. The smell seemed to be from the freshly wiped down tables. Curious why they weren’t wiped down earlier.
Trying to give them benefit of the doubt, we were seated promptly & waited on by 3 different servers. Normally, I would have appreciated the quick & attentive service. However, this service came with an overbearing & passive-aggressive older server (possibly an assistant manager). This particular server wanted to check & make sure we’d been taken care of, as our first server was “in trouble” & speaking to the “boss man”. Like why was that information necessary. It was tacky.
The food was decent to mid, but nothing to go back for.

Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and helpful. The food was terrible. The table we sat at was gross having not been cleaned. I found a fleck of something green in my drink.
I’ve been going to Tortoras for 10 years and this was the worst visit so far. The food was bland, tomatoe sauce base had no flavor, the toppings tasted old. Even my GFs calzone was mediocre at best.
It seems the prices have risen and the food quality has gone down drastically. They don’t even make the desserts in house.
We won’t be returning again.
