You know it’s a good sign when the menu is in Spanish and everyone in the restaurant- customers and employees – are Hispanic. Order at the counter and have a seat. Restaurant is large and clean with Mexican music playing. They have a salsa bar but do not give chips. The tacos were large and packed with meat, very tasty. I ordered the cheese, Chile relleno and found it to have almost too much cheese. Will try the picadillo next time. Would definitely recommend this for a quick lunch stop.

Great place for a delicious meal that supports small business. The guacamole was smooth and tasty and a great portion. The chips were great size, not broken, and salted for maximum yum. Love that they are made onsite and sold for take home as well. I’d return simply for chips & guac. We also had a verde enchilada meal and a Mexican plate. Both tasty with the chicken cooked flavorfully and tender. All ingredients were VERY fresh. We enjoyed the salsa bar as well. Loved all of them but they were the usual suspects found at any respectable Mexican place. We arrived at 6:15 and noticed their 7 pm closure time. When an another family arrived at 6:40, they were turned away. Their tortilla machine is quite impressive in size but had been shut down for the night.
If they’d have margaritas to add to your meal we’d be back sooner. Even a bottled Modelo would be nice.

I enjoyed my enchiladas roja Pollo and enchiladas Verde queso. The guacamole was very smooth and chips were really good. They have a salsa bar with everything you need. Atmosphere was great, clean and busy. Lots of people here om a Saturday early afternoon.

The restaurant is very clean and super cute! The gorditas 10/10! Can’t sleep on the gorditas with potatoe and chorizo! Delicious!! The red chilaquiles tasted good, but no spicy (none), which I prefer mine spicy. But they have the right concept of how to make them.

Sorry to say that I agree with the other 1 star reviewers on the food…dry, lacking flavor, and overpriced for the quantity.
Order and pick-up style set-up. No fountain drinks and bottled water only. Quite a bit of seating and it was clean when I was there. Lots of parking.
I absolutely LOVE gorditas and was super excited to see so many on the menu but I was soooo disappointed when I got my little, thin, corn tortilla filled with a little bit of chicken with mole sauce. Yup, that was it, nothing else.

Friendly staff. Tasty food. Salsas actually taste Mexican. Yes, prices are up there, but you’re also getting a big portion for a non-premade meal. THE ONLY THING I disliked was the gorditas dough. Gordita dough is usually, as the name suggests, chunky or fatty. That’s what I love about gorditas. I think they use the same dough for their tortillas. It’s still good, but not thick enough for me. Perhaps they can make their dough a little thicker. Everything else was great. I’ll come back

Subpar and overpriced food at a beautiful new restaurant in Pflugerville. My husband and I went in expecting to be able to order breakfast tacos at 10:40 AM on a Saturday, but this location stops serving breakfast at 10:30. We proceeded to order 1 barbacoa taco, 1 bean and cheese, 1 picadillo and 1 barbacoa gordita. We had to wait 35 minutes for our to go order, and the restaurant was not that full. Upon receiving our food, we checked our order and noticed that one of our gorditas was missing and had to head back inside. When we finally got around to eating, we were expecting to have Rio Grande Valley style food, as is in the title of this restaurant. Instead, we’re met with $20 of dried out meat that was overly greased, and somehow still had no flavor – not to mention the $4 bean and cheese flour tortilla was doughy. No napkins placed inside of to go order. Green salsa was very good though.

Delicious tacos! I had the pollo mole and bistek tacos and they were very good. Particularly the mole! The salsa bar is top notch and salsas taste fresh and some of the best green salsas I’ve had in a long time. Service was friendly! The restaurant is clean. Highly recommend!

First impression walking in was the overbearing scent of dirty mop water and chemicals. Dry bland chicken, dry bland barbacoa, chicharron was whipped and smooth and tasted funky and was not at all spicy, very different from what I’ve had in the past. Tortillas were bland, mole was one-dimensional. Fresh green salsa was nice, but the other salsas needed some love. Gordita was… not a Gordita. Just a double thick layer of bland tortilla. Beautiful interior though and a there’s a lot of potential for this place to succeed.
