Tortilleria Matehula is a family run business and provides some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted. I was on a road trip and decided to stop to eat, I ordered 4 tacos (Carnitas, Carne Asada, Chorizo and Al Pastor), rice and chips & salsa. My entire order was phenomenal. The prices are more affordable than a fast food meal, and the flavors are unmatched if you like Mexican Food.
The restaurant portion is currently closed due to lack staff since the pandemic, so the orders are takeout only, but the order does not take very long and the food is well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Since covid, you can’t dine in anymore & there isn’t anything fancy about this place, but their street taco’s have my vote for THE BEST hands down & the price can’t be beat. The only complaint I have is their limes are almost always so dry. If you could get some juicy limes please!!

I enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant, from the atmosphere to the decor. I ordered tacos and a quesadilla (pics) and I’ve gotta say they are honestly the best I’ve had in 2019. This place is a must visit in Corsicana if you’ve ever had any kind of Mexican tex/mex food that you enjoyed. I’d rate 6 stars if I could.

Food was delicious, the wait time wasn’t that long maybe about 10 minutes for our order. Take out only. We really enjoyed the homemade tortillas, and the red & green salsa was super authentic and packed with flavor. I ordered a barbacoa gordita and two tacos de pastor 10/10. Hubby got a torta de milanesa. Everything was super fresh and tasty.

Very local Mexican food we’d never had in Dallas. My husband keeps on saying oh this is good while eating. The staff is very friendly, he even accommodates what we like on our food and also let us use the bathroom when they only do take out only. Good price, good food, good service definitely coming back again.

The BEST authentic Mexican food I’ve had in a long time…if I lived in Corsicana, TX I would visit weekly, but for now every trip I come to town I will definitely make a visit here for the chicken tacos or Chicken burrito.

Making our way home, we decided to stop in Corsicana for lunch. We found this little mom and pop place. Apparently very popular with locals since it was busy and wasn’t the easiest to find. The decor is not super fancy but atmosphere is relaxing and friendly, the service is great, and the food is delicious! The tortillas and chips were especially good! Definitely a spot we’ll come back to if we ever need a meal and we’re traveling nearby.

Passing through town, we decided to check them out. Though closed to “dining in” and a lack of enthusiasm from the older couple running the place, I have to give 5 stars. The food was so delicious I wouldn’t mind circumventing Dallas again, just to stop by this out of the way diamond in the rough. The breakfast street tacos were stuffed and delicious! And a big thumbs up to the salsa verde and even the homemade chips and dipping salsa were superb and perfectly balanced!

Stopped by this place on my way to Dallas from Houston. The bacon, egg, potato, bean, and cheese burrito is a show stopper! Outstanding! Best I’ve had in the Corsicana area by far. Burrito was the size of my forearm. Salsa was delicious and fresh. Overall 10 out of 10. Thinking about it there’s really nothing I would improve! Stop by, you won’t be disappointed!
