Maybe we caught them about 2 hours before closing so the items ordered were just okay, nothing special. They do have in house hand made corn tortillas which is a win. Might stop by again if in the area again.

Unassuming stop for good Mexican food. The menu is small but the love is put into the food. The dining area is pretty standard as a place to eat but not as any sort of theming. It’s rather warm inside due to the open kitchen . There are plenty of parking options.

The food has become very bland at this location. I’ve ate here several times and the food was good. Today, the food was very bland to the point I couldn’t finish it. Rice and beans over cooked/mushy. Cilantro had a weird taste. I won’t be back for a very long time if not, ever again.

Disgusting. I had to throw over half of it away bc there was a hard foreign object in my food. Menu said vegan and gluten free for my dish and the rice was all stuck together, also salsa tasted so bitter it was inedible. There was something really wrong with that rice it was the consistency of soggy mash potatoes. Chips were hard as a rock- so disappointing I couldn’t believe it. Worst Mexican I have ever had. Foreign object in food was by far the worst part.

I absolutely love this restaurant, but not this location. I was first introduced to Tortilleria Garcia at their College Hill location – fantastic staff, beautiful dining room, perfect food. This location is closer to me and I would probably eat here more often if our orders were correct. For some reason the last few times we’ve ordered we were given white rice instead of Mexican rice as we requested, or refried beans when we asked for black beans. I understand if there is a shortage and it’s not available, a simple heads up would be great. But that was never disclosed by their cashier. And these were orders placed in person, directly to a staff member, and well before the restaurant closes. It doesn’t make sense and it’s frustrating that I now expect the order to be wrong if I come to this location.

Can’t beat Taco Tuesday! 5-6 tacos hits the spot every time. Even if there’s a line, unbelievably fast service gets you in and out in no time. The fresh corn tortillas are outstanding, and the tacos travel really well. Their spicy sauce (on the side) is great if you like a kick too

I order the same thing from this place everytime and get a different result every time. This latest attempt was a burrito missing 75% of the ordered toppings. Everytime they do a bad job and I gave them another shot and got burned again.

I come here to buy masa, and tortillas by the pound for my family. Since they were in taco week it was my first stop. This morning. I got one of each of the tacos offered. The taste was way above average. The fresh made tortillas in their machine made it even better. The salsa as everybody knows makes the taco and they have different options. I got the spicy and it was good but it’s a regular Mexican street taco with just cilantro and onion. Nothing bougie nothing fancy but they were pretty amazing. Only confused about the price, because on Tuesdays they sell the same tacos for a dollar but during taco week they are $2 . I highly recommend this place. It’s above average and taste and quality. It just doesn’t have any. Fanciness, if you’re looking for a fancy cheese or a fancy vegetable, this isn’t it. But the food is amazing

What a great burrito bowl! I got a steak burrito bowl. It was huge. More than I could eat. The dining room had two TV shows going at the same time. On in Spanish and the other was a Batman marathon on TNT. They had four different kinds of house made beverages in addition to soda and tea. They had various hot sauces that could have been better but oh well the food did not need them.
