Absolutely fantastic torta ahogada. Put it up there with anything I’ve had in Mexico. It’s got quite a bit of spicy kick to it! Nice fresh squeezed juice too.

This is definitely a good place to eat some very authentic tortas Mexican style.
The ladies who work here are very attentive and I didn’t feel zero negativity from them which means he’s a good spot for people like me to come here and have a good time while I eat, I definitely recommend this place. Extremely tasty

Good torteria in the Mission. The tortas were good. We tried chicken and carne asada torta. They were both good. The bread is good! We felt that the chicken could’ve used some more flavor. The tortas are easily shareable, or not The orange juice is freshly squeezed in front. I noticed they are known for their torta cubana and smoothies. Will come back some day to try out.

The restaurant is small, so I would recommend taking the tortas and making a little park stop to enjoy them. They do have indoor seating but small.

Legit has to be one of the best torta spots in SF. I usually get the milanesa res or de pollo with queso fresco. The torta is super well balanced; it is not stuffed to the brim, it’s not soggy from hella condiments and it’s made with quality ingredients. The “thing” that makes the torta for me is the sauces, both green and red. I usually go a few drops of each on every bite and they just add that extra little something. I also recommend to eat in. The line can be a little long but waiting until you get home is not the move.

Tortas Los Picudos is one of the few remaining torta shops in the mission. Sure, taquerias have tortas, but they’re not the same. The tortas here are lovingly assembled, high in fat, and pressed until the bread has a great level of crisp. The salsa roja is hotter than most, which is important to balance with the mayo and cheese. I suggest milanesa de pollo with queso fresco, but it’s really up to you!

Get the torta milanesa de pollo, with avocado and egg. Thank me later. Oh and the fresh orange juice slaps too.

This is a place that has been running for as long as I’ve been alive. Flavors are all still the same. If you are getting any food plate that isn’t a torta or a drink, you’ll be disappointed with the flavor. If you’re trying to eat there during lunch or dinner rush hour, you’ll be waiting 25+ minutes for your meal. The wait is definitely worth it for your tortas. I do recommend a Cubana for those love all meats.
