To have a business named tortas locas with a sign “big Mexican sandwiches” on the front window and then serve a torta that looks like this… Yikes this is the cubana for reference, you get one single slice of avocado. The price id consider reasonable if it wasn’t for ridiculously skimpy serving.
Asked for the spiciest salsa, was given salsa macha. Tried two others all three lacked flavor and spice.

Stopped in years ago because it sounded interesting. Been coming back ever since. The fried head cheese is awesome as well as the chorizo. Good quality bread that holds up to the sandwich. Great combinations of flavors and textures.

We came from out of town hoping to try the viral Howdy Bagels, but they were closed. Luckily, we spotted Tortas Locas across the street and decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! This place may be small, but it’s full of heart and gives you that warm, traditional Mexican feel. Don’t miss out—you won’t regret stopping here!

A hole in the wall, but a gem of a spot in South Tacoma Way. If you’re in the mood for a delicious Torta I very highly recommend this place, but if you’re also in the mood for a fantastic quesadilla this will also be your spot. Homemade tortillas and queso de verdad makes this little restaurant a true authentic experience, the prices and atmosphere don’t hurt either ¯_(ツ)_/¯ we are talking about S. T-way here.

It’s always difficult to pick a good Mexican sandwich. There are so many options, and they all have the same great taste. On this occasion, I opted for the #1: Loca Torta. Although, neatly layered and organized, it lacked a good portion of meat and veggies. The sandwich was too flat to be considered a giant torta. Still, the waiter was very kind to bring the food to the table.

I love Mexican food and torta de lengua is one of my favorites. I only stopped here cuz it literally had the word torta in the name. And then I was served this sad sandwich. The meat is in some kind of weird red sauce, which honestly didn’t taste bad but there were these weird grilled onions that were barely even there, a couple of slices of tomato and a little avocado. And NO LETTUCE? I mean, I get that the food cost on this sandwich is going to be absolutely in the meat and having vegetables as part of this sandwich is actually really important for it to create a sense of value for the customer for a $10 sandwich. I would have went to subway for a better value and tastier meal. Most of us don’t eat enough vegetables and the satisfying crunch that some simple lettuce on this sandwich would provide would definitely make the sandwich better and for sure appear fuller. Didn’t much care for the way the floor looked in the kitchen from the cash register having pieces of tile missing and Corners around that were “mugroso” (dirty). Definitely could do better
