Tortas La Vecindad: A Delicious Dive into Nostalgic Mexican …

Food: I got a delicious torta Cubana and they added a surprise which was an egg toppled to the torta. This torta has a variety of meats and veggies with avocado slices and more, just ask!!
They have a vast menu and it is real Mexican food.
They have about 4 to 6 menu items for kids, they do have quite the space. The place is very spacious and will hold big parties.
Restroom was fairly clean, the parking lot is very small and will not hold too many people, no more than 15 cars estimating.
I love the TVS that were inside of the restaurant and they are quite large. The place wasn’t noisy and there was great ambience.
Room for improvement: I really think that they could probably add some deserts and hot drinks for now since it is almost freezing outside. I was mildly disappointed about that.
Unfortunately I can’t give it more than one star. That’s because the food was not tasty at all. It was cold. & lacked flavor. I ordered tacos barbacoa and the meat had a sweet flavor, not what I expected from barbacoa. The beans tasted like they probably weren’t rinsed before cooking, and the rice was bland.
We asked for horchata that came in a very brown color, again not typical for the horchata I’m familiar with…but I just gave it the benefit of the doubt, and attributed it to the cinnamon. But upon tasting it, it was grainy and gritty, the flavor also seemed to give mazapan hints… I actually did not like the horchata, and at 5$ a cup, it’s definitely not worth it in my opinion. As if that isn’t enough, the staff is not friendly, they more act like you’re a burden and a bother to them… so yea… I won’t go back and I highly DON’T recommend this place…but my kid said the buffalo wings were good
Received it quickly and accurately. Got home to two delicious orders. The beef quesadilla was the all star!!! Rice and beans were a little cold, but I’m not taking off points because everything else was so yummy!!!
We’ll be back!!
