I have visited Tortas a number of times in the past and had a favorable impression, but regrettably, this time not so much.
On entering the shop, I noticed that a major section of tables was blocked off and the unblocked tables were not very clean. We struggled to find a place to sit down and eat.
Next, I noticed that the menu has been changed, alcoholic beverages eliminated and prices raised dramatically.
My mother got the vegetarian burrito for $13.99. No side of frijoles or guacamole or rice, just a burrito. In fairness, the taste was good but the price was outrageous. I got a quesadilla for $5.99. Again it was delicious but quite small. We paid over $20 and left the shop still hungry!
Basically no decorations, no music and very little in the way of atmosphere but at least, the restrooms were clean and kept up. The lady at the register was friendly and most of the customers seemed to be regulars which is a good sign generally.
Pro Tip
This shop is in a pretty seedy area of abandoned buildings and cracked parking lots so you might do well to visit in the daylight hours rather than at night, in my opinion.

It was NOT good. I had al pastor torta and it didn’t have much flavor. We also had the fajitas and they didn’t tell us its just fajitas with tortillas. No rice or bean included, we could have added it, with notice.

The food is fantastic!! Everything was very flavorful. It is a small place, but everyone was friendly and very concerned with our experience. Definitely worth stopping in and taking a look. We will be coming back. The prices are good. 2 large burritos, 2 tacos, chips & queso and 2 sodas for about $20. Can’t beat that.

This place looks like it should be on “Kitchen Nightmares”. Food: At 11:30am, For a regular burrito, a plate of arroz con pollo, and two pops, the total was $31 which seemed rather high considering the burrito didn’t come with any sides. The chicken was dry and seemed ‘the day after’ in texture. The burrito did have a great presentation and overall was good. The plate of chicken & rice was dry. Service: The staff were smiling and courteous, but didn’t seem like they were ready for the day. Atmosphere: The menu & tables felt sticky & dusty, and I dared not put my arms on the table. The men’s restroom had this awful sewer smell and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned the night prior. For a place that sits across from the USPS hub, you’d think they’d take better care if they wanted a lot of lunch & dinner customers.

Easy 5 stars. Went for the 1st time, and we both got Carne Asada Tortas. No beans on the Tortas, which was odd to me. But, food was still great! We ordered to go, and even then we live a good 10min away, it was still hot and flavorful. Service was great as well!

Oh my god, this was one of the best things I’ve eaten. Period. I drove by this place a hundred times and never stopped. I’m so glad I stopped today. Very unassuming place but what they lack in decor they make up for in ingredients. The Torta(I can’t remember which name) was incredible. The bread was fresh, soft, airy, yet still a nice crunch on the crust. Bread was grilled and everything on the sandwich was premium. Perfect, fresh lettuce & tomato. The meat, oh my god, the meat was so tender and well cooked. I didn’t even need to chew it. They had to put this meat on the sandwich because It was just falling apart. So good. So good. Go here. Seriously.
