Visited for lunch – friendly service, decent food.
We stopped by for lunch earlier today and had a generally pleasant experience. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal, definitely one of the highlights of the visit.
The food itself was okay, not bad, not great. Everything tasted fine, but nothing really stood out as especially flavorful or memorable. It was solid, middle-of-the-road Mexican fare.
The atmosphere was good, and the restaurant was kept clean.
All in all, it was a decent lunch with wonderful service. If you’re looking for a casual spot with reliable basics and kind staff, this place will do just fine.

Our family loves Toro Loco! We make it a point to visit at least twice a month. I enjoy the fajitas jalisico (steak, chicken, shrimp) of course the kids all love the tacos beans and rice kids meal. Always a welcoming place that workers at least seem to enjoy being at which is a rare occasion nowadays. Still the best mexican restaurant in all of scioto county in my families opinion!

So I am out visiting the Portsmouth Ohio area and was recommended highly by locals and one of the managers of this restaurant to stop by and I tried their fajitas! And I am so glad I did. These are the best fajitas I’ve had since 2010.
I’ve been on the hunt for a traditional Spanish restaurant that would compete against those amazing fajitas. I had so long ago and I finally found ones that are actually even better!
If you’re looking for the best fajitas in the US or happen to work for the Travel channel, you definitely need to stop by and try out these fajitas! I got the steak and chicken and if I lived here, this would be my go to place at least once a week. I’d probably call it fajita Friday lol
If I could give this restaurant more stars than five, I would. Also, the restaurant was totally packed and they still brought our food out in a timely manner, and the food was cooked perfectly.
The servers were consistent on coming to our table and asking for refills and if we need anything else so for me it was definitely five stars all around.

Love there lunch. I always call for a pickup for lunch. Sometimes there’s Parking right up front. If you park up front they will bring your food to your car.

I love Mexican food and this place is delicious. Fast service and amazing food. The owner(?)/manager was very active out in the dining room and opening doors for guests and getting people seated quickly. Good vibes. I got the Special Jose Burrito. The meat inside was flavorful and tender. The rice and beans on the side are straight up fantastic. If you’re a cheese lover try the Chorizo Queso I come back whenever i’m in town.
