This was our first time at Toro and it was a pleasant surprise. We’re from out of town and wanted to try something different. This place was great! Excellent presentation, delicious food, and a unique menu. The cocktails and dessert was also fantastic. We will e back the next time we’re in town.

“Jo Jo” (Joelle) was a wonderful waitress!
She made our first Toro experience a good one. ✨
My husband and I went to Toro in the hopes of finding tasty food and a nice atmosphere to celebrate our anniversary.
Jo Jo was fun, kind, and she is a smart cookie, too! We appreciated her service and care… she truly made our meal a lovely one!
Keep up the beautiful work, Jo Jo!
She even shared a wee menu highlighting virgin beverages … $6 each!
Forgot the name of the one I chose, but it had some spice to it and it HIT THE SPOT!
It is so important that restaurants hire folks who are sweet and provide thoughtful, personalized service to each human.
I know it isn’t easy for businesses to find and keep people who are worth their salt… but it is special when people (especially younger adults) do what they can to make it FUN to get out of the house… especially for busy parents like us!
Great food, tasty drinks, and magical humans!
We will be back (and we don’t even live in Bowling Green)!

I chose Toro because I wanted a “stepped up” quality dining experience for my wife’s Birthday.
We were not disappointed
We began with the Olive and Cheese Tapa (pictured) and it was delicious. I enjoyed a tasty Cubano cafe
Coincidentally we each ordered their Steak and Frites. Previously Char, in Nashville, was our favorite for Steak and Frites; no more.
Toro is now our favorite.
Made with mushrooms and an amazing pan sauce, the generous slices of skirt steak are tender and amazingly flavorful.
The dish is served with a special side of what they call “Tori’s salsa verde”, but don’t think tomatillo Mexican salsa, think palette-pleasing , herbaceous dipping sauce for steak.
Gregory provided superb, personalized service and anticipated our dining and drink needs. Thank you Gregory!
I am happy to add Toro on my list of regularly visited restaurants

We went to Toro and were disappointed overall. I ordered a michelada, but the bartender was unable to make it, and we were told the taps were down. We ordered the deep-fried seafood platter, which ended up being more than 50% potatoes, including tater tots, fries, waffle fries, and regular fries. The actual seafood portion was very small, with about four shrimp, a few pieces of fish, and some calamari. Given the quality and value, we would have been better served at Captain D’s. I do not recommend.

Ordered a chicken chef’s special for pickup.
For just under $16, i got a pretty mediocre plate of food that comes with a bowl of sauce. Quantity is small. Food tasted like taco bell. Very salty. Has ground beef and chicken strips on top of rice. Not what i expected at all. Very disappointed.
Would i come back? Why would i order taco bell for $16 when i could get food at a taco bell for $10? At least the girl that rang me up was nice. The tall kid was depressing and stank of intimidation.
I say this in all honesty: This is the worst mexican restaurant i have ever been in during the last 43 years of my life. There is nothing hispanic about the food here. Food trucks are incomparably better than this place.

We’ve dined at Toro for lunch and dinner now and both experiences have been great! The dishes are full of flavor, as are the drinks. The wait staff have been friendly and knowledgeable each time. Recommend trying the Sampler as a starter to share (2-3 people). Pollo a la Brasa was wonderfully grilled and marinated. The Snapped special was divine! Our only experience with the Enchiladas was less than awesome, but decent. Will be willing to try again though.

Love, love, love this place! The tapas were so delicious and service excellent. Everything came out quickly too! And it didn’t hurt that the social hour pricing helped our family of 5 save money as well (from 3-6pm) Our server recommended which dishes she liked and we ordered her recommendations (cantina nachos and street corn fritters). Also tried their Korean ribs (chef special). So yum! The kids had the cheeseburgers (loved the mix of different kinds of fries). If you are in the area, definitely give Toro a try.

I was looking for something different and boy was this it! The atmosphere great. It gave the feel of being in a major city w/o traveling to a major city. I enjoyed it so much that I ate my leftovers the next morning THEN went back for more that afternoon You should definitely give it a try. I enjoyed everything from the appetizer to dessert! This is now my #1 spot in BG to eat…yes, the overall experience was just that good!

Creatively delicious! We had the picante steak, smoked wings, smoked salmon, and pablos potatoes – all excellent! Such flavor for good value. The lights could’ve been dimmed a bit to create a better atmosphere but perhaps their desire is to feel more of a sports bar than fine dining.

The mixed grill has some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth, Peruvian chicken, lamb chops, steak with the Chimichurri sauce 10/10. Those accessories could be swapped out for something less weird – queso and rice and beans – for anything else! But it’s my go to order! The salmon is INSANE. So good!! The creamed spinach with corn, 10/10 and I don’t even like creamed spinach. Amazing!
