Our meal started strong with the gambas al ajillo followed by the pulpo a la plantxa – one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had in a while. Extremely tender with a nice crunch on the charred bits, and the tart aioli and potatos it came with were excellent as well. Definitely some misses on the food though. The uni bocadillo was one. The miso flavor was quite strong and rendered the uni to just a briny aftertaste. Even if it was enjoyable, 22 dollars for a tiny pressed sandwich is a bit much. That seemed to be the overarching theme. I get it’s Boston, but the quality just wasn’t on par with the high price. If every dish we got was consistently good, the price would be more than justified, but as it is, it’s a little steep. Would recommend the gambas al ajillo, pulpo a la plantxa, and alcachofa. The asado de huesos is solid if you’re a fan of bone marrow. Would avoid the uni bocadillo and breakfast hash (pork belly wasn’t really crispy and chorizo was sliced so thin it was dry and hard, otherwise on a bed of uninspired peas and sweet potato).

Decent shareable plates. I loved the different menu items the restaurant served. I got to try new foods for myself including shrimp and oxtail. The place was a bit loud but my date was able to order for me and everything he picked was great. My favorite was the charred shrimp for sure. The vibes are like a loungey type restaurant. The steak was another hit for me as well.

Great first experience here at toro. Place is small and intimate. The smaller tables are all on one wall and tables are basically on top of each other so definitore get bar seating if you’re not ok with that. All of the meals were awesome full of flavor and cooked perfectly Including the shrimp , steak, urge sliders and patatas bravas and street corn

A night to remember. The food was delicious, packed with flavors, complimented by various textures. The highlights were the bone marrow, the mushroom ragu and the salt cod croquettes. Unfortunately I didn’t like the tuna belly at all, probably due to my dislike of blue cheese that was in the dish. I really do appreciate the unique taste this restaurant has to offer, even when I am familiar with the main ingredients.

The space was a bit tight, and the noise was above average. Also our table was crooked and the candle went out, and it took a while for either of those to be fixed. It didn’t ruin the experience, but for the high price tag, I’d hope for a smoother dining experience.

Overall, it was a pleasant evening. I would definitely come back here, but possibly for a more quiet night, though I am not sure if it’s quite possible given this restaurant’s popularity.

I LOVE this place. I come here every time I’m in Boston. You have to get the pulpo. I also love the crudo and corn. Paella is also great!

Visiting Boston and picked this restaurant because it was a Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive restaurant and I would be able to use my $150 credit. So glad I did! The restaurant has a fun and lovely atmosphere. Our server was terrific. He gave great recommendations and really made sure we don’t over order which is so each to do with tapas. Standouts of the night were the roasted pork shoulder , tortilla espanola and the mushrooms. We also enjoyed the smoked duck, brussel sprouts, octopus and the chocolate churros. Looking forward to visiting again next time we are in Boston

Great small plates and tapas joint. Highly recommend a reservation. Drinks were great! Food was tasty and diverse. Quite loud and busy. My only knock is the place is packed and it’s a tight squeeze. Not the easiest place for kids so keep that in mind. Otherwise, great evening and service.

Came here for date night and it was so much fun! We were seated at the bar area and could have a look in the open kitchen in the back! Tapas were good, esp the bone marrow was incredible! Recommend the duck as well. Patatas bravas and pimientos de padron are a classic. Good place for groups as well with the wooden high seat tables in the middle. Moderate noise but can still talk.

We had a great dinner at toro. The tapas style food was so good! I had a great time.
I ordered the octopus, gambi shrimp , potatoes, lamb special dish, hamburgers and flan. I’d only not recommend the hamburgers. I’d have opted for empanadas instead but we had already ordered the lamb entree.
Seating is kinda tight but overall it’s a vibe. It’s popping and fun and vibrant. Highly recommend.
