Delivery was fast and super tasty. Gluten free items were clearly marked on delivery menu and on delivered food. On a very cold day in May (yes, May!) in Evanston with no kitchen due to a remodel and a herniated disc keeping me home, and feeling down about being gluten free, omg, this made my day. I am forever a fan.

One of my favorite places to come for ramen in the suburbs. I love the vegetarian ramen with fried tofu. The potato croquettes are a must and the shrimp boa is delicious

Had a wonderful dinner, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Tried the bow buns, sushi, and ramen. The ramen was my favorite. Curry ramen was very flavorful, had a few options to choose from…. Definitely coming back to try the rest of them. Gets busy on weekends. Recommend to make reservations

This is a review of the Torino Omakase special dinner. I’ve been to Tokyo many times and this is a Tokyo style high-end quality experience. Certainly tops in authentic Japanese cuisine in Chicago imo. Esteemed Japanese chef Hayashi choreographs an exquisite artistic experience. The service was buttery smooth and timely.

Good ramen, but definitely nothing special. The fried octopus appetizer was great. I’m not sure what I expected from the panko potato croquette, but it’s deep fried mashed potatoes. Overall ok, but the ramen definitely lacked strength. It had little pork, and I did not taste much garlic even though it had garlic oil.

Torino is one of our favorite restaurants. Spring summer, fall, and winter, there’s always something amazing on the menu. Our server Matea was very polite and attentive to our needs. I tried a rice bowl this time and was not disappointed.

Great choice for a nice warming ramen on a chilly fall night. My friend had the Tantan and I had the Torino ramen, both were fantastic. The Tantan is a little spicy and my friend said this was the best ramen he had ever had. The broth was great and my friend loved the pork in the Tantan. I’m not in love with the decor but the service was attentive and friendly. They had non alcoholic drinks on the menu but not a nonalcoholic beer – it would be nice to have that option in the future. I’ll be back to try the bao!!

I have to preface my review with a bit context: I am an East Asian living in Toronto visiting small town Evanston within the Great Chicago area, so I have different standards. The environment and service of the restaurant is great but the food is just OK. If a good restaurant in Toyko is rated 5, an average Japanese restaurant in Toronto is rated 4, then Torino is rated 3. I ordered a bowl of Raman, the soup was not tasty, the Raman noodle was a bit overcooked, and the taste of the soup did not get into the Raman. It is like they cooked the Raman separately with plain water and mixed a bowl of soup with the Raman. The Sushi rice is not of the best quality. So the average rating of 4.5 stars is overrated.

i was excited to try a new ramen spot and although the ramen was a bit underwhelming the bao was pretty good. i liked the miso hot ramen and the other spicy ramen option lacked spice and tasted oddly sweet. however, the service was honestly horrible. not once did the waitress check in, ask any questions, or even come in our general direction after taking our orders, there was no pre-bussing which is an automatic red-flag. she was literally standing outside on her phone, instead of doing the bare minimum of checking in on a VERY slow Wednesday early evening. my partner and i were distraught and it honestly made the whole SERVICE experience so unenjoyable. we didn’t bother finishing our ramen broths and had to ask the hosts for our check because of our extreme inattentive server. the main point of dining in is to get a good experience, left a bad tip so hopefully she got the hint. don’t see myself coming back but overall decent food, nice hosts, and yes bad servers can ruin an experience!!!!!
