We were finishing up our shopping at Lotte and decided to get some TO GO on our way out. This was my first time ordering from Tori Hana so I just picked something that looked good – Shrimp Tempura Udon & Tonkosu Ramen. First off, the tempura is supposed to be crunchy, so putting in the same bowl as the udon is really defeating the purpose of having a crunchy batter on the shrimp, especially if it’s a To Go order. The ramen wasn’t terrible, but the broth didn’t have much in the way of flavor. The pork belly was thinly sliced and seemed over-cooked. Overall, it didn’t give me that authentic taste that I was expecting.

I got the Tonkatsu and curry, thinking it would be atleast a little authentic, but it wasn’t even close the meat was so thin and it wasn’t crunchy at all, more oily and wet than anything, the curry was good at first but then had a fishy taste towards the bottom, the rice was just ok. For 15$ I expected much better quality. Maybe not restaurant style but the Tonkatsu atleast needs to be crunchy. I was so disappointed i didn’t even take a photo.

I have a severe allergy and specifically asked for no sesame on my food (it’s labeled on the receipt). They served me sesame and I had to go to leave my family meal and go to the doctor. When I questioned if there was sesame in my meal, they provided no apology or refund.

We ordered karaage and tonkatsu curry. Karaage and the curry sauce were very good. We think the tonkatsu could have been fried for a bit longer, so it could have a browner appearance and crispier texture.

I would give 0 if I could. This place serves pre-made microwave food. For example, I ate Tonkotsu Ramen that was basically a cup noodle-quality. Salty and no taste in broth. My wife ordered Kyudon that does not even resemble kyudon. It was some greasy beef rice. I’ve visited Japan a dozen times, and I am from Korea. So I know what these foods are supposed to taste like. Do not expect anything above microwave food. 먹지 마세요.
