The kitchen is usually fast at preparing your food and our server, Maria, is always a delight and Joy to be around.
We keep on coming back because Maria is like family now, she knows what we like is always smiling and a pleasure to be around.
Separate bar if you like a bit more privacy regarding date night with friends or the lady.
The food is ok, but the portions are small and lacking flavor compared to other places in the area.
My wife and I ordered the fajitas for two, which were around $36. The meal was enough for us to both be satisfied. That said, we recently had the same meal at another Springfield Mexican place. While we paid about $4 more for our meal, we got 2-3x more food at the other place.
The service is fantastic. The wait staff was on the ball all night and I tipped well based on that good service.
That said, I feel like the food is a bit overpriced for the portions/flavor.
Maybe that’s just me. Definitely worth checking out to decide for yourself.
Snagged it for my wife for takeout (para llevar), and it was *very* well insulated.
The flavors are everything you could hope for from a high end Mexican Restaurant, and we look forward to our next time there!
I liked the atmosphere and decor of the place, the only down fall is no windows but what can you except from a strip mall. The food was decent. I ordered the tres fajitas. The shrimp was over cooked and the chicken was supper thin. The flavor was good and it was hot.
Let’s talk about the amazing service again… They are extremely hospitable. We’ll go back and try something new.
The servers was gracious and friendly. The food was not. The chips and salsa were okay. Classic and tasted like a staple.
We got the fajitas for two with chicken and steak. We avoided shrimp because of our prior experience. The presentation was nice. It looked okay when it arrived. However, the chicken breast was really dry and felt like it had been grilled a while ago. The steak seemed to have a sour taste to it that me this it was off and possibly too old to serve. It wasn’t dry, just something in it tasted off. I am Latina, I love fajitas and Mexican food dearly. And I want this place to excel. We did let the waitress know the food wasn’t good but didn’t ask that it be free. I am of the school of thought that if you opt to try something you pay for it whether it was good or not. Sadly, Toreros has an aged feel in its food and it’s decor. I think most of the profit comes from their gaming side. Which, is totally fine if that works for their customer base. I would love it if this place improved. Having Latin food near by that’s fresh and flavorful in a sit down restaurant would be great. Right now it’s just not working for us.
