Reviews
The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The tortillas were warm, the fillings were generous, and the combinations of flavors really stood out. You can tell there’s attention to quality and consistency in the kitchen. Whether you’re a fan of their classic tacos or like trying their monthly specials, there’s something for everyone.
Service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and worked together as a team to keep things moving smoothly, even during a busy rush. Orders came out quickly, and everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely kind.
What really made the visit stand out was the leadership and organization you could see in how the team operated. Alex, the manager, clearly cares about both customers and staff, and it shows in the positive atmosphere, efficiency, and overall experience.
If you’re in Houston and looking for great tacos, a fun environment, and top-notch service, this Torchy’s location is absolutely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back!
The queso was excellent, and Jose’s kindness and positive attitude made the visit even better. As I was leaving, he simply said, “I’ll see you next time,” — and he was right. I’ll definitely be back. Great service and a great first impression!
I explained this to the manager working that day and even told him that I guess every manager must be different. He didn’t seem to care and still refused to honor the free queso and chips. He is the only manager who has ever denied us using the card this way.
What made it more disappointing is that we are frequent customers, and there was no effort to satisfy or take care of us. This review is being left specifically because of that lack of care and inconsistency. Consistent policies and better customer service would go a long way here.
While at the counter, I attempted to get the attention of a bar attendant who appeared to have an earbud in her ear. I said “excuse me” twice, but she did not acknowledge me and instead she looked at me turned around and walked through a door blatantly ignored me . I looked back at my husband to confirm what I had just experienced. She later returned, smiled, and asked, “How can I help you?” However, by that point, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, as she had not acknowledged my initial attempts to get her attention.
Additionally, there was limited staff available on the floor, the napkin holders were dirty, and the queso we were served was cold. We asked one staff member if it could be reheated or replaced, but that request was ignored. We then asked another young lady, who was gracious and promptly took the queso back and returned with a freshly warmed replacement. Kudos to her for providing good customer service.
Overall, out of three staff members we interacted with, only one provided a positive and professional experience. The visit fell short of the level of service I expect from Torchy’s Tacos, and I wanted to share this feedback so it can be addressed.
Thank you for your time and attention.
My husband and I went here on a Saturday night, and they were absolutely terrible. They completely forgot our queso, and when the tacos came out first, the girl who brought them said she’d look into it. About 10 minutes passed, and still no queso. That same girl DID find time to stand around and chat with a coworker at a tray return station, though.
I finally went up to the counter to request my missing queso. Other Torchy’s are able to bring it out right away after ordering, but even after requesting it for the third time, this location still needed time to get it together. Guests from the tables on either side of us were also missing parts of their order.
The tacos, themselves, were mostly stuffed with cheap filler. There was hardly any meat (or in my case, avocado slices). The Stafford location would never have cheaped out like this. The manager finally did bring out the queso, but didn’t even apologize, instead nonchalantly commenting that it was busy. (That’s the nature of the restaurant industry on Friday nights. This place was clearly NOT equipped to handle the business, and definitely not qualified to be given our hard-earned dollars.)
On top of it all, I sent an email to corporate in regards to this heinous excuse for a dining experience. It’s been over a week, and there still hasn’t been a response of ANY kind.
We’ve been loyal customers at the Stafford location for years, and we were excited to finally have a location closer to us. But after this experience, don’t expect to see us (or anyone who received similar treatment) at the Sienna location again.
Trust me when I say this: The Stafford location might be further out, but it is DEFINITELY worth the drive. It’s a night and day difference.
