Torchy’s Tacos on Morningside is a total staple for me when visiting Rice Village. The vibe here is always lively, and the outdoor seating is perfect on a nice day. You absolutely must order the Green Chile Queso to start, it’s hands down the best cheese dip in Houston. The Brushfire is also great if you like spicy jerk chicken. Parking can be tight in this area, but the tacos are well worth the hassle. Fast service and delicious!

The Managing Partner Melissa is awesome! Daya, Kaitlyn, Lake, and Esther make a great team! I enjoyed this location, I came with the Give A Fit Run Club, they are amazing. Torchy’s gives the run club people a buy one get one free taco which is nice after running/walking for over an hour. I will definitely come back to this amazing location! I also loved the indoor and outdoor environments. Very relaxed with a beautiful, functional design. Edgar the stand in manager and Lake helped us today. Please promote Lake to manager, she helped Edgar with the Run Club promotion. She became a stand in manager today.

Stopped for some nachos and drinks at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and kind however, the establishment itself needed more attention in the cleanliness department. It’s very difficult to enjoy any item on the menu with a not so clean environment makes you question a lot.

Great food as always. A little odd ordering at a kiosk and annoyed because it let us purchase chips and queso when it was actually in stock. It required an employee to hustle out and basically tell us not to order, just remove the kiosks…. also they messed up the drink order but was quickly and easily resolved.

God Damn! The menu had a witty political satire on Beef Tacos. I went off the spectrum on a got a grande grilled chicken burrito It was just like the service and staff. Looking forward to a rematch with the chips and queso!

Love the food, love the place in the heart of rice district. The chicken and fish tacos were really good and the shrimp taco is kinda an acquired taste. The vegetarian tacos are good too. Our favorite was the chips and their special dips. Plenty of parking available but the sign boards say that are paid parking only.

I ordered the Trailer Park and the Green Chile Pork, and both were an explosion of flavors: fresh tortillas, premium ingredients and sauces with the right point of spiciness. The melted cheese is of another level, creamy and addictive, one of the best I’ve ever tried! The service was impeccable; the staff was super friendly, fast and always with a smile, making sure everything was perfect. Also, I love that they offer vegetarian options and tacos of the month to keep things interesting. The value for money is excellent, and the possibility of ordering online or through the app makes everything even more comfortable. Torchy’s is a must for any taco lover in Houston! Happy Hour was terrific. The bartender that worked that day was so charming, friendly and accommodating. She acknowledged each person that passed the bar and was serving drinks with speed while being the only bartender there. She’s a young black girl with a great smile. I wish I knew her name

It’s been a few years since a tried Torchy’s because we live close to a Velvet Taco. I have to say Torchy’s is better. Both taco places have good variety and great taste, but Torchy’s has more filling. They really pile it on! Make sure you grab a fork so that you can get it all!

I placed a door dash order here and the staff carelessly allowed it to be stolen by a dash-scammer. Staff refused to replace my order and refused to accept responsibility despite the good door dash driver arriving to pick it up. Be careful ordering online here – the staff isn’t competent
