Every time I come to this location I never have a bad experience. Food is always fresh and brought out in a timely manner whether is busy or not. Today my food was brought out by the manager, Sylvia, she was nice and went above and beyond to bring me extra sauces for my tacos without hesitation.

Sylvia, the manager was awesome. She had our order ready to go at exactly the time it was supposed to be picked up. The food was fabulous. I mean, I don’t know why you would ever order tacos or any other type of Mexican food from any other place torchy‘s got it going on their salsa and their queso is to beg for more for it is so delicious thank you Sylvia and the whole staff, especially you, Sylvia for being so awesome and being so concerned when I was standing at the bar waiting to get my order when I showed up just a few minutes early. You were so incredibly kind and checked on it and then all of a sudden you came out of the kitchen with my bag thank you you are a rockstar

I ordered 2 tacos to go around 7:30pm, not exactly dinner rush hour – Baja Shrimp and Republican (non political whatsoever, just liked the menu description).
The Baja Shrimp taco did not look or taste anything like the menu description – three small boiled shrimp (definitely not grilled as requested), no jalapeños, no cooked cabbage slaw, but at least they provided some chipotle sauce on the side.
The Republican was even more disappointing – no grilled jalapeño sausage (pulled pork instead), no pico, no cheddar cheese and no poblano sauce (they may have put some BBQ sauce instead).
I don’t know what I was eating but definitely not 2 tacos worth $13 before tip.
It took them at least 20-25 minutes to prepare this “masterpiece”.
Tortillas were awful – not even warmed up, like someone just pulled out a couple of cheap grocery store corn tortillas out of a plastic bag.
It was my first time and I will never go again. If you are craving tacos, just stop by Taco Bell.
What a total disappointment!

Key pieces of the meal were forgotten, and had to ask for them. Portions were small, and why are tacos like 6 dollars??? In what world is it okay to only be able to afford 1 taco per person?? I would come here every day if they were 2-3 dollars cheaper. It’s an issue of the menu being too big. Servers don’t care, so I don’t tip, and the ordering was replaced by a computer. Yikes. Extremely stingy, and luke warm. My friend literally was like, “it tastes catered.”

This place is located in the center of so many of my daytime errands. I come here for all of the above. The cashiers and servers are kind, attentive (to my special orders, and efficient, I get my to-do list written or reviewed in the peaceful, 2 person booths, and enjoy whatever tacos I order. They’re queso is, without question, top notch. I have even been greeted by the GM on occasion, which to me just shows servant leadership and that they truly care about their customers’ experience.

As a pro Torchy’s goer, this is by far the best location. It’s always clean, quick staffed and welcoming. Their happy hour is insane with half priced ALL drinks M-F 2pm-6pm. Luis is a great bartender who is kind, attentive and a fun time. Can’t get better then good queso, good margs, good people.

Always a good experience with the crew and food is always amazing. The Hulen location ambience is off. Too bright. Bar weirdly located .. feels too open? Design needs some coziness. Maybe add a patio. Needs something architectural.

After grocery shopping decided to try out Torchy’s, and I’m so glad I did. It has a fun variety of unusual tacos – we ended up trying “The Hogfather” and the “Fried Avocado” as well as the green Chile queso and the churros with dulce de leche. Everything was fantastic, but that green Chile queso was next level. Hands down the best queso I’ve ever eaten. It’s so good I’m going back just to make other family members try the queso. Not to beat a dead horse, but seriously, if you like queso then you need to try it. I also like the vibe of the restaurant, how clean it was, and the convenience of the ordering kiosks.

I tried the new Broski Bowl available for a limited time – it was delicious! Hubby got a Tipsy Chick taco and the taco of the month, The American – both were perfectly to his liking. Restaurant was clean, service was quick, and staff were friendly. We’ve been here many times and have never had a complaint.
