I recently visited Torchy’s Tacos – Norman, and overall it was a really solid experience. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, with a casual vibe that makes it a great place to hang out with friends or grab a laid-back dinner. It definitely has that lively Tex-Mex personality Torchy’s is known for.
The tacos were creative and packed with flavor. I tried a couple of their specialty options, and the combinations were unique without feeling overcomplicated. The queso is absolutely worth ordering — rich, creamy, and perfect with their chips. Portions were satisfying, and everything came out fresh and well presented.
Service was friendly and fairly quick, even during a busy time. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that prices run a little higher than expected for tacos, and it can get pretty loud inside.
Still, it’s a great spot in Norman for flavorful tacos and a fun dining experience. I’d definitely go back.

Been a while since I been to ole Torchy’s but the food is still good. I’ve had a few different tacos and I enjoyed them all. My favorite is the green chile pork taco.
Torchy’s is always packed and I mean always but dont let that stop you from placing your order. The lines generally move pretty fast. They have 2 self checkouts, they also have a cashier next to self checkouts or you can place an order through the app and pick it up. The app is very user friendly but warning sometimes it crashes when they do BOGO deals.
I will always stop by Torchy’s to get my taco fix. The place is clean, the food is good and the staff are friendly.

Zach provided amazing service! Not only did he bring our order, he brought forks after I forgot to pick them up at the station. He checked on us during our meal as well. So did the manager. We love this Torchy’s location!

We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Jared and Ryan at the Norman location. Both Jared and Ryan were very friendly, took good care of us and checked on us multiple times.
My husband had a couple of lime/salt drenched beers, we ordered hillbilly queso and guac. I tried the Tokyo Drifter, (taco of the month) and it was excellent. My husband ordered the Matador.
Both tacos were meaty, with plenty of toppings, served hot and fresh. The hillbilly queso is always a hit and did not disappoint!
We look forward to our visits to Torchy’s and tonight’s experience was made even better by the outstanding service we received from Jared.

My boyfriend and I love Torchy’s as a chain, but our experience tonight was extremely disappointing. He placed an order on their in store touchscreen and waited for 40 minutes for the buzzer he received to buzz. After 45 minutes, I finally approached the person working the counter. I was told someone would assist me. Another server brought our (completely cold) order and handed it to us with an extremely brief and apathetic apology. No true apology, no discount, no free item – just cold food and wasted time. As someone who works in retail, I understand how stressful busy hours can be, and errors can happen, but this was unacceptable.

If I could give a higher rating I would. My husband and I everytime we have a doctor’s appointment, which is quite often, slide in for lunch. Every once in a while there is a little mixup, but overall they nail it! Yesterday, we had an unfortunate situation with an employee. The way management, MR. MIKE, handled it, was so much more than we could of asked for. Thank you so much!!! You definitely want to stop by this location if your in their neighborhood. Excellent food, atmosphere, and yes! MIKE. There’s also another gentleman who has always been memorable as well, I wish I knew his name, tall dark haired man. Trust me go see these men, you won’t regret it!!!!!

Andrea working the front, was so fantastic!! She was very helpful and made sure to completely understand my order. I had come in needing to get rid of my change in my car, and I had a small handful. I felt bad as it was during a busy time, but she was so understanding. I genuinely have not interacted with anyone so kind who works behind the counter. She makes me want to come back more often. We need more people who have that kind of attitude! 10/10.
