Maybe they’re understaffed? We’re pretty much regulars back home, but the service here was a little rough. They did warn us it was about a 30 minute wait before we ordered, but unfortunately, they overestimated, it took longer. Sad thing, the restaurant wasn’t even full. Usually we get the queso in about 5-10 minutes, but even that took over 30 to come out. Food here is good and we had a gift card, otherwise, might have skipped it. Watched two families walk out while we were waiting. Food was mostly ok once we finally got it and had to ask for the queso, they forgot. Something was off about the Matador, cheese wasn’t melted between the tortillas, and beef flavor wasn’t quite right. We really like this place and hope they turn it around because we want them to be successful and stick around. Still have more gift card left, so we’ll be back, and pray it’s better.

We had a great time, and enjoyed the food. For a fast food establishment the tacos were good, simple tacos. The service was great, very friendly and outgoing. This is a simple order at the counter and pay restaurant with an area to sit down and eat. We choose to sit at the bar, where you can get table side service and keep your tab open, as well as drinks and watch the games. For fast food this is a good choice

Came here for a quick bite to eat. It’s a walk up style restaurant. We placed our order Sat down and waited.
I got the an alcoholic drink and a soda, two tacos and chips and guacamole for about 26 bucks.
I enjoyed the place a lot. The tacos were made really good and the guacamole was also really good. You can sit down indoor or outdoor. I had the cherry lemonade titios which was fire.

I would like to first start with the positives. The place was nice and it is in a good location right off of I-4 near a bunch of other restaurants. The staff inside were friendly. Now the downside was that the food just fell completely flat. We ordered 6 tacos and an order of the hillbilly queso dip the 7 items cost $49. Sadly and I say sadly all of the tacos were just terrible. My wife and I love tacos and I consider myself a fair food critic. The hillbilly dip was good. So I will give credit where credit is due. But all in all I feel like I wasted my money. We didn’t even eat the tacos we tasted the ones each of us got which were there democrat (2), brushfire (2), a steak fajita and Mr orange. If I wasn’t tired and my wife didn’t ask me not to go, I would have taken the food back. It was truly that disappointing. Hopefully this helps someone as well as the torch taco improve from this. But my food experience was bad.

I’ve been a regular at this location for over two years and have always tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because of how often we used to visit. Unfortunately, over the past six months the overall experience has steadily declined.
First and foremost, the dining room is in serious need of a deep cleaning. Many of the light fixtures have large cobwebs hanging from them, and when you sit down you’ll often find that tables and chairs are dirty and need to be wiped down before you can even sit. Considering the restaurant prompts customers to tip, it’s frustrating to feel like basic cleanliness standards aren’t being maintained.
It gets more concerning when you start to notice the condition of areas that clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Looking under tables and booths, it’s obvious that they likely haven’t been moved to clean underneath them in quite a while, which is honestly pretty unpleasant.
One of the main reasons we kept coming back for so long was the staff. Many of the employees we interacted with were friendly, hardworking, and genuinely tried to maintain cleanliness and provide good service. However, over time we’ve noticed that nearly all of the team members we had come to know have either been fired or demoted. It seems like the proprietor/owner holds extremely strict standards for employees, yet the overall restaurant standards appear to be slipping.
Recently, this location also received its lowest health inspection score ever, an 85, which is the lowest in the surrounding area. While that score isn’t terrible on its own, this restaurant historically stayed above a 90, so it feels like a clear sign that things are declining.
Food timing is also very inconsistent. On busy nights you might receive your food quickly, but on slower nights it can take 30-35 minutes for orders to come out.
Another ongoing issue is the kitchen frequently taking liberties with menu items. For example, we’ve received flour tortillas on items that are clearly listed as coming with corn tortillas. This has happened multiple times, and our receipts are always correct, which suggests the issue is happening in the kitchen rather than with ordering.
Overall, we used to truly enjoy coming here and wanted to see the restaurant succeed. It’s very disappointing to see the direction things have taken recently, and we hope management will take steps to improve cleanliness, consistency, and especially how the team is treated. We would hate to lose the last remaining Orlando location like the others that have already closed. Unfortunately, that could very well happen if upper management doesn’t take feedback like this seriously. My partner and I alone have spent well over $5,000-$10,000 here over the past two years, so this feedback comes from loyal customers who truly want to see the restaurant succeed.

Torchy’s Tacos are anything but simple – but they are enjoyable and fun in their creativity. Flavors abound and while some of the combos sound strange, they are all yummy and filling. The all-day breakfast tacos are also a great option and the salsas are awesome. Service has been pretty solid and parking is never a problem.

The place was very busy with families so we just ordered to go. The food for us was good but bite size. I don’t know what it was, but I was expecting a little bit more. If there is a next time maybe if we dine in it will be a more eventful experience.

First visit to Torchy’s Tacos in Orlando—and it was a flavorful experience. The taco menu offered a variety of tempting choices, and the veggie tacos were especially delicious. Service was speedy, and the staff were courteous and welcoming. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the tortillas could’ve used a bit more time on the grill . Still, a spot worth checking out if you’re craving bold flavors and good vibes.
