First of time here and well, the results are mixed. Service was great. You place your order at a kiosk, grab an pager and they bring the food out to you. Special shout out to the young lady who asked me what kinda sauce I liked and bought back 4 containers. That’s dynamite service. The prices here are standard.
The problem is the tacos. They’re overstuffed to the point of being messy and with so many ingredients you can’t tell what’s what. The meats are fine. The everything else is a gooey greasy mess that’s gonna require a ton of napkins. I ordered three tacos and they were virtually indistinguishable.
Atmosphere is fine; there’s a small bar with TVs if that’s your thing.
One unique thing: they have cold brew coffee on tap, something I’ve never seen. You can grab it if you order a fountain drink so that’s an added bonus.

I first tried Torchy’s around Summer 2025 and since then I’ve come here with my partner almost every week if not sometimes twice a week depending on how I felt.
I’ve tried so much of the menu and the food and service has been very consistent. Even when something in the order was messed up the staff worked fast to address the issue.
The manager is always interacting with customers as well to make sure everything is going well! They recognized our faces after coming here so often so it’s great to know that they care about their regulars. That alongside everything else makes it very easily to give them my patronage

LOUD! Torchy’s Tacos was so incredibly loud during our visit that we could not have a conversation because we couldn’t hear each other. We ended up switching our order from dine in to take out and ate in our car. Torchy’s should invest in some sound dampers to make the dining experience better for the customer. They were very full and seem like a popular place to eat.
The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great and it came out cold (we waited about 20 mins for our meal at our table). If you are looking for authentic Mexican street tacos, this place is not what you’re looking for. We ordered steak burritos, chicken burritos and a steak fajita taco. A couple of bright spots were the flour tortillas, they tasted fresh and they were very good. I also really liked the salsa, especially the tomatillo salsa. It was very good.

A unique Mexican restaurant in the heart of Rockville on Rockville Pike. There is a huge variety of choices. Mostly tacos, tacos, and tacos. . The egg and potatoes taco was delicious. If you ask. They will give you really hot sauce. Very friendly staff and service.

My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience at Torchy’s Tacos! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was amazing, the restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and fun.
The customer service was truly 10/10. Every employee was friendly and helpful, but a special shoutout to Alex — he was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and made sure we had an excellent experience from start to finish.
This location doesn’t just serve tacos — we ordered a little bit of everything, including tacos, burritos, churros, and street corn, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the sauces were incredible — packed with flavor and perfectly paired with each dish. Service was also fast, which we really appreciated.
My boyfriend and I love traveling around the DMV trying different restaurants on our days off, and this location definitely earns a 10/10 from us. Amazing food, outstanding service, and a great overall experience. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it!

This place is pretty big, and the atmosphere was decent. I ordered three tacos with sauce. When they came out, they were cold, which I didn’t mind. They were tasty overall, but I wish the meat had a bit more flavor. The sauces also weren’t spicy. I understand that a lot of Tex-Mex or Americanized Mexican food isn’t very spicy, but I was hoping for more flavor or heat. Overall, it was okay — not bad at all. I would definitely come back.

I don’t know how this place has four stars. My tacos were cold, rice was room temp, and the best thing I had was the beans. If you want some really good beans, eat here. If you want good tacos, drive five minutes up the road to Taco Bomba or Ixtapalapa. Honestly the taco bar at the Golden Corral in Frederick is better than this place. If you don’t mind a half hour drive, save yourself some money and go there.
