We attended a gathering for the Rebel Force Radio podcast on 9/6/2025 and we were very well taken care of. The staff there was amazing and engaging with us as we celebrated our love of Star Wars and Rebel Force Radio Podcast. The bartenders made us feel welcome and even played some of the movies on the big screens above the bar for us. With our little flashing ice cubed drinks in hand, we settled right in and felt like home. My friend and I even got a ride home from one of the owners as they spotted us on their way home…lol. Thank you for welcoming us in with open arms and hopefully we will see you again in the future…May the Force be with you…

5 stars all the way. We were a party of 5, which included a daughter with a disability, and the owner (Alice) was incredibly gracious and accommodating from the get go. She especially went out of her way to make our daughter feel comfortable and valued. Every employee seemed professional and courteous and took pride in their work. Liam was great. The food was delicious and the deserts were excellent. The atmosphere is serene, relaxing with a touch of rustic charm as the building is an expansive historical structure outfitted with high beams and incandescent lights. Above all this, I was given a 20% military discount and not charged for the beverages. The owners and workers at Torches left us thinking they care greatly about their customers and their community.

Food was great, and the main bartender, Danielle was great. However I was very taken back by the unprofessional and rude behavior from the two owners, or what I assume to be the owners. The lack of awareness and care for their customers is evident. They seem more interested in social hour than happy hour. Sitting, eating, and talking to what I can only assume are regulars for close to half an hour before going to the next person to talk with. At one point, I saw the chef come out to ask a question to one of the owners, only to have her met with a very snappy and rude tone back to the chef, saying she was interrupting her conversation with a customer. Seems to me like the employees are treated quite poorly, but they are the ones carrying this establishment. I will not be returning and will spread the word around town, as I would like to have my money go to someone who treats their employees and customers properly. Plenty of better mom and pop restaurants to support in town.

The focaccia squares were a pleasant surprise! Super delicious. I loved the buffalo cauliflower! The filet was expertly cooked, veggies delicious. The mashed was on the chunky/sweet side, wasn’t a huge fan.

256 North is gone, the Torches replacement doesn’t meet the bar. Food was prepared properly yet quite basic and lacked full flavor. Unfortunately I left disappointed.

Terrible experience. Service was super slow. One salad took 10 minutes longer that the other and manager got an attitude with us the whole time. Main course came out wrong and then she got another attitude when we said it was we even offered to pay for the correct food but she got another attitude and slammed our check down on the table and said she didn’t give us a discount cause we were nice just cause she wanted us out of there . Then got mouthy with us when we left and was staring us down . She definitely doesn’t need to be in the service industry. Do not recommend going here
