Ronald is an amazing bartender and makes a mean Aviation!! I started with the Winter Duchess, a gin cocktail, which was delicious! After that I went dealers choice and the Aviation was PERFECT!! Then got some meatballs, truffle fries and pepperoni pizza! Chefs kiss! Can’t wait to come back. 100/10!

The Torali Bar was an awesome experience during our stay at Chicago Ritz. The service was helpful and fast, and the options we got off the bar menu was super tasty (loved the cocktail shrimp.) Their whiskey selection was respectable and cocktails solid. Would come back!

Jennifer is so nice, she gifted us a blueberry donut at check in because I’m pregnant which I super super appreciated. Edan was our waiter, a very sweet and kind man who was quick with the food and wished me well wishes for pregnancy. And Hector!!!! Got me a coffee swiftly upon arrival, smile and great energy. Will be back ASAP.

Our reservation wasn’t for afternoon tea like we thought we’d reserved back in October, it was for a table in the cafe instead. However, the hosts and manager were not at all kind about it. The online booking needs revamping and a telephone call could’ve avoided this issue, but no one answered the phone whenever we called to book. Our group gathers for afternoon tea at one of the Michigan Avenue hotels every December for the last 20 years, and this year we chose the Ritz. Making the best of our day downtown together, we decided to stay for lunch and catch up after a longtime. However, nothing went right other than the good companionship of longtime Chicago friends. We had terrible service (not ignored just slow and totally inept). The staff didn’t know anything about the menu items, how to interact with customers, how to take an order, or how to provide normal service let alone what you’d expect at The Ritz Carlton. We had 4 different people attending to our table. Some have clearly never worked in a restaurant before.

The food wasn’t any better. My salad had 25% spoiled black and brown lettuce that was mushy or wilted (inedible) w/ almost no dressing. We were brought burnt rolls that were literally black not browned and sent them back for new ones. Our soups, sandwiches, and desserts were okay. The burger was probably the best of all the items we ordered. Presentation was like that of a cheap diner, nothing special at all. When we asked for more hot water, we were given a large pot of water proudly and expected to refill our own individual pots! The (presumably) head waiter sent the guy back and told him to refill our teapots instead. Grateful for that at least. We didn’t let any of this ruin our afternoon together, but it was unusually comical (think of a circus act), and a big distraction in the flow of our conversation. In the end, we were presented with a bill including an extra sandwich. The waiter was shocked after we pointed it out and apologized profusely.

Overall, a substandard experience in an unbusy restaurant (only 1/3 of the tables had guests), and totally shocked from the Ritz Carlton! Who is working in the kitchen? There is zero quality control or care put into what they send out to guests. Better hiring selection and training needed in all departments (hosts, managers, waitstaff, busboys, dishwashers, chefs, website development, reservations, etc.) We would never recommend coming here to anyone. We joked that we should’ve gone to The Cheese Cake Factory or Olive Garden instead because it would have been so much better! Sadly it’s true. We’ve decided not to go back for their Valentine’s Day Tea event. The Langham, Four Seasons, Peninsula, Drake, etc have never disappointed. Best to go there for tea or anything else.

At first glance the ambiance was exceptional, the open floor concept is amazing! The lights the smell was chefs kiss. The Bartender Ronald was amazing! World class bartender, from the drinks to the small talk was honestly what I needed after a long day. First time here and not the last, Aberol Sprtiz to the Moscow Mules to the pizza to the truffle fries was beautifully balanced with flavor.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Torali in the Ritz Carlton! My cousin was visiting from out of town, and this was the perfect spot to make the evening special.

We enjoyed delicious espresso martinis, flavorful seafood pasta, and the most amazing spinach & artichoke gnocchi everything was cooked to perfection.

The service truly made the night memorable. A big thank you to our servers Ahmed and Albert for their attentive and friendly care, and to bartenders Ronald and Rommel for crafting such perfect drinks. Manager Daniel also made sure everything was just right his warm hospitality really stood out.

From start to finish, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were exceptional. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Celebrating a friend’s retirement, this was perfect. The tea assortment was lovely along with the finger sandwiches, delicious, and the pastries, scrumptious. A glass of champagne was served with our nibbles. Monica was a delightful server and we could not have asked for more. The room was bright and cheerful. This is a beautiful setting to host a one of a kind event. If you are looking for a unique and special way to celebrate, High Tea at Torali restaurant, located in the Ritz Carlton Hotel, is the way. Simply lovely.

Torali offers a truly special experience if you are looking for fine dining options in Chicago. Everything we ordered was amazing and the service was excellent.

I ordered the Salmon which was great and exceptionally well prepared. The Torali Triple Chocolate Layer Cake was one of the most delectable chocolate desserts I’ve had in recent memory, and we loved it!

This is an expensive restaurant in a very fancy hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. So it’s essentially everything you’d expect it to be. Gorgeous atmosphere with delicate touches, friendly service, and great food. Our server and the hostesses were very polite and checked in regularly throughout the meal. The French toast on the brunch menu was excellent. Lobster eggs Benedict, what could be better than starting your day off with that! Perfect hollandaise and tender yet rich lobster. My only critique as that both the hash browns and breakfast potatoes were very bland- unlike the rest of anything else we tried there. But I would love to come back again and try their dinner menu.
