Great food and fun to be had at TORA. It is certainly one of the best restaurants near the St. Regis Punta Mita and is only one block away. Service was professional, polite, fun and engaging. Food was fresh, authentic and full of flavor. Highly recommended!! Loved the nigiri, kimchi, pork belly, karaage chicken, tempura shrimp and vegetables, udon, shumai, gyoza, sake and moto club vibe!! ✌ ️

Where do I even begin? From the moment we walked into the door to the time we left, everything was excellent.
The fried chicken was authentic Japanese and the skewers had that smoky flavor you only get over an open flame. Their chashu (pork belly) was cooked to perfection, and the sauces and complementary veggies with it elevated it to another level.
The shochu drinks are made with actual fruit as well!
This 5 star rating was easy to give, as there really weren’t any drawbacks at all. Definitely stop by and give it a try!

Wow! This is a true hidden gem in Punta de Mita. The food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and the staff is amazing. Misa, the bar tender made our night and we had to come back twice during our stay. Don’t miss the chefs nigiri plate and ribeye yakitori! 12/10!

What an amazing dinner at TORA. The fish is fresh, both local and imported from Japan and Scotland. Aside from sushi, the pork gyoza and Japanese pancake were favorites. Best mochi I’ve ever had, you can tell they are handmade. Solid service and great vibes, we had a larger group and enjoyed the communal table then had drinks in the lounge area. The owner and local chef (originally from Japan) are doing something special in Punta Mita!

We are staying at a nearby resort and wanted to break out and experience the pretty little town of Punta Mita. We arrived at Tora hungry and experienced the the BEST EVER and most authentic Japanese food that we’ve ever had. The food was so fresh and so beautifully done! This food will surely appeal to a wide range of palates.
The atmosphere was a fusion of traditional Japanese and retro biker chic…very cool! The service was impeccable, the food was incredible and it created a space for a very special and memorable experience.

Really amazing space. Cool Japanese X vintage moto chic vibe and an amazing view of the mountains and a bit of the water.
We ordered almost the entire menu and could not decide what our favorites were because it was all so good! Think the highlight for me was the bluefin nigiri, loved that they give you a fatty one, a medium fatty, and a lean one. The chef is incredible and very accommodating. Many options for every palette.
Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!
