Admittedly the food was excellent and much better than both the TOPS I’ve eaten at in Memphis but the place is a complete mess and the front counter service SUCKS. I used the kiosk to order my lunch and watched a line of people come through the door and go to the register. The kitchen then loaded my order on to the rack but NOT onto the dine-in order line so I can pick it up. I then had to stand and wait as everyone else in the line got their order placed before the poor old lady at the counter asked rudely “What are you waiting for?” Which I then showed her that my order was up for so long the kitchen actually recalled it and that I used the kiosk so I don’t have to deal with people like her. Although the food was good, the brisket atop my fried seemed “shipped in” rather than smoked here and I find that odd especially due to the cubed shape.

Food was cold and over priced in my opinion. $9 for 3 ribs. And they weren’t anything to write home about. Fries were good even cold. ½ or the menu was burgers and the other ½ has sandwiches. This is a world famous BBQ? Really? Not a fan. Won’t be running back anytime soon. Big disappointment.

Update: District Manager reached out and promised to send me coupons,etc to make things right and do additional training with the staff. As of December 22 we have received nothing from Tops. That tells me they were just trying to smooth things over and hoped I give up.
Stopped in to pick up food for supper. We ordered a 6 pack pork family pack and had to pay an extra $6.49 for slaw. On our way out the door we realized they didn’t include the buns so we went back for them. Upon arriving home which is about 45 minutes away, we realized they didn’t include their world famous sauce which is why most people go there. I called and spoke with the manager and told them about our visit. She stated that she would have the other manager call me back. This was over an hour ago and still no call. This is NOT the quality of service I expect from Tops BBQ. Wonder if the corporate offices know about the poor service at this location?!

Grissles by the fingerfull! The Brisket Sandwich, Combo #5 was ordered. Looked and smelled great. First bite had the spouse spitting out a big glob of grissle. Every single bite had large chunks of grissle or hard chunk o fat. In the photo, there’s a chunk of nasty in each wad of napkin plus one loogie right there.

Service was good. Food was not. I got the bbq nachos. The bbq sauce on them was disgusting. It was so strong and bitter, it literally ruined the dish. Probably wouldn’t eat here again.

Purchased a burger and fries. The burger was loaded with refrigerator cold tomatoes and lettuce. Even the buns were cold. Burger had no flavor and was very unenjoyable. Not planning to make another purchase

First time here. Walking in, the smell was fantastic. My incredibly picky boyfriend had to test all 3 of sauces to ensure at least one was acceptable. Amazingly, he said they were all good.
The employee who took our order, Quita (later found out she was the GM), was very friendly and helpful. She answered all of our questions and offered additional info about the history of Tops. As we were handed our order, another employee, Zellack, assisted in getting us to-go sauce packets and ketchup. He was initially standing at the register ready to take our order when we walked in, but we told him we needed some time to view the menu.
I had the pulled pork sandwich with beans and fries. Everything was delicious. My boyfriend has a full rack of ribs. It was truly a full rack of delicious ribs.
We will be back.
